- Since I've been using my Kubota BX 25D a lot more here on the property this year, I decided to do a few upgrades to keep me safer while working. In This video I added some 2 inch wheel spacers to help with the all to common tip over threat. Next time I'll be adding some tire chains to help with winter traction.
Have a Kubota BX and live on a couple of acres with slopes. 2 months ago I added rear spacers , best thing i ever did the stability is greatly improved
I should have done it 10 years ago
I've had the chance to use it a few times since adding these and I LOVE them. Huge improvement over stock.
You could also use (2) short 2x4's on (2) broom sticks or like handles too as long as you are on a smooth surface.
Good tip on that. I think that would work well
At my job I use a BX 2680 for snow removal. Has a solid cab on it. It really likes to wobble around when it hits bumps or small piles of snow. These spacers look like a must have.
I feel a lot safer with them installed while plowing!
As Joe Dirt says ,,, daaaaaang !! How did I miss you getting that tractor. That’s really an upgrade 💪🏼
Good job 👍
I got this bugger last fall. Cost more than any car I've ever owned including my first brand new one, but it was worth it. I've been doing a lot more work with it and have since sold off the Garden Tractor. I needed the back-hoe attachment to really bring the farm to the next level.

Awesome man , glad to see you get something you not only can use with a purpose , but be passionate about it . Most people don’t understand that last phrase . Keep it up and be safe .
Great video. Thanks. I have wheel weights on by BX. Is it OK to also install spacers?
I did! 400 hours later and no issues.
Best money you can spend on your tractor. You will not believe how much more stable it is. Go with the bro-tek. They aren’t cheap but, what’s your life worth!!!
I use a 2X4 to leverage the tire into position. Beats brute force and you only have to balance it, then push onto the mount once in position.
Why use the wheel weights now that you know your tires are loaded?
Use a dolly to slide wheels on and off
That is a great idea- I wish that I though of that when I was doing it. I think my back still hurts
Idle curiosity on my part.........is there a 2 inch spacer kit for the front wheels as well? My thought is that in widening the front wheels would further increase angle stability. Or is rear only sufficient?
So, you can certainly put front spacers on, but my understanding is that unless the tractor is at full turn, there is no advantage to it. I'm not sure how that is possible, but that is what I was told.
I’m thinking if I add them to my BX 25 ,snow blowing I’ll be compressing the snow on both sides of my path of removal and make it more difficult. Front attached blower.
I love my setup! Feels a lot more stable on hills.
Where did you purchase the Wheel Spacers?
I have the BX2670 what is the exact measure of the wheel spacers that I should buy for the rear wheel?
Getting my BX 1880 delivered next week. I have a zero turn mower for my 2 acres and will never mow grass with a tractor again. I ordered mine with the loader and bar tires and will probably get the snowblower as well. I never thought about spacers but I wonder if they would void the warranty.
Don't think so, Kubota offers spacers as an option.
@@fanohawk I agree and I have purchased and installed spacers since that comment 3 years ago
What year Jeep's can I order wheel spacers from to fit the Kubota BX? Also does the rear wheel hit the guage wheels on the deck?
The Jeep Cherokee from the 90's fits fine! I have the 60 inch deck, and the 2 inch spacers just clear it.
@@FarpointFarms cool thanks
Did anyone change those wheel bolts 3 to each side to wheel studs? I ordered the 1/2 x 3 studs from Summit Racing. I just like wheel studs to put wheels on, than the vw type wheel bolts. I ordered the 20 pack, leaves me enough for the front(next spring), lol!
It will make the tractor a lot more stable. Just don't overload those bearings.
how about a CB for the Kubota?
I'm usually to busy when I'm on it, but I'll keep it in mind!
I just bought a kiote tractor a few months ago that size and they put beet juice in all my tires.
The weight helps, that's for sure, but it sure made it hard to get the wheels on and off.
Are the wheel spacers from kabota, & how much?
What is the tork specs?
Thanks!
No, Bro_tek sells a set for over $200, and Kubota sells 1.25 for about the same $$ these are for a Jeep Cherokee and they fit fine. They cost $39.99 plus free shipping!
Cool
@@FarpointFarms where did you get your spacers on your bx25d?
@@FarpointFarms Where did you get the spacers?
Chuck Amazon I believe.
I was cringing watching you impact down those wheel spacers. 95lbs ft torque max. It specifies in the owners manual, and the instructions that come with the wheel spacers. Absolutely critical otherwise damage will occur. Their only aluminum...
And yet 200+hours later, no issues. I've been a mechanic for over 28 years, and these are A-OK to use the German spec of "Goodntight" or the US version of "Approximately 10 ugga duggas".
Yes, add spacers to increase stability on flat ground. ha ha ha Spacers barely change the tip-over angle, so why bother, just drive safe? A pothole or rock will flip any BX, or other tractor depending on speed, load and size of obstacle.
You have no idea. On just the past 6 months two people I know have died in rollover accidents on their tractors.
Don't come on here pretending to know about mountain living son.
These are a huge help. So are the loaded tires, and so are the additional wheel weights I use.
@@FarpointFarms The pretender is YOU. I live in the Rocky Mountains and have 3300 hours on my BX25. BUT, you keep believing your ass, cause it isn't the brain that feels the difference.
