Saw them about 3 weeks ago......the is something magical about Ian's voice and Billy's guitar together......transports me to another place. He pulled the same type thing with a security guard when I saw them as well...he went on a long rant.
Well he went on and sang with the doors, maybe he was trying to start where Morrison left off... Morrison was confrontation with security and sometimes with fans as well...
Now that is "The Cult" absolutely beautiful! They have never failed on their music. I have been listening to there music since 1989. They never disappoint. Hoping I could see them in Holland or Germany Ian Asbury u r ontop.

He's still retained his voice. I went to see them at the Warfield in SF, Back in 86 and there was a little unknown band from LA opening named Guns&Rose's, front stage first row. Between both of the bands it blew my F'n mind.

We were at this show and he stopped the show at the beginning b!+ching about the phones, so most people put them away and lived in the moment. It was a great gig until he went off the deep end at the end. Put a total damper on the vibe as we were leaving. 🤷

Notice he commented that wasn't sure if he was in Philly or Baltimore. It looks like he was looking for an excuse to go off on someone at the end. Like I said, it took a great ending to the show and bummed us out when he had his tantrum like he was going to fight a guy in the front SRO.
Confronting people is the easiest way to get shot or stabbed these days. I would only confront someone if they were physically attacking me or someone who’s in trouble. But provoking anyone to fight is sheer lunacy. Ian Astbury is pushing his luck. I hope nothing bad happens to him but I wish he would let things slide. He’s asking for trouble. 👎🏻
