Gardner is only 28, who’s to say he can’t get better or that he’s reached his ceiling. I think he can improve off his last season and hopefully be that guy for us while Aiden develops.

Saw glaze live for multiple years. I played o line so watched them a ton. Above average pass blocking below average run blocking. Take that for what its worth

I too think he (GM) needs to improve his decision making. However, I’m interested to see how he performs with a very good supporting cast. I’m waiting to see if he was forcing things because he had to make plays devoid of playmakers and protection. I’m not as pessimistic as some about our QB room. We don’t have a franchise QB that I can tell, but a good game manager, who minimizes mistakes, who routinely gets the ball to his stars can flourish with a very sound defense. AOC and Minshew had nearly identical stats last year, Minshew made the playoffs and AOC didn't but the Raiders started the season with the Worst Head Coach of all time.
Perfect world, Munford starts this year and Glaze backs up multiple positions...then if Kolton Miller starts to drop off/be unavailable as he is now, Munford grows into the LT role and Glaze steps into the RT going forward. We are quietly building a deep, talented team at every position...Minshew is going to be the QB this year but next draft we have to sell the farm to move up and get a 15yr franchise QB and be the next dynasty.

Filled with pre-snap, false starts, illegal formations, fumbles, dropped balls, uninspiring offense. From the 1st thru 3rd string. He really didn't make a distinction as to which QB was better though. He just said the whole offense was trash all scrimmage long. His name sounds like Rondo Larpenter
Hondo Carpenter said that both QBs weren’t very good…. I’m not saying his opinion is always fact, but he was acting like the whole offense sucked during the scrimmage.

The game was different 30 years ago than it is now. You cannot risk a starter for a kick off that never gets returned for a TD.Who was the last Raider to return a kickoff? Phil Buchanon stunk. He stunk so bad we traded him for a 2 and a 5, I believe

Without watching the game some of those could have been onside kicks, or injuries happen that forced him into the position. He would do it in close games or late in games. In Deion 14 year career he retuned 212 punts. About 1 a game. 155 kickoffs, less then 1 a game. Exactly what I said.

Although, I’m not sure if you’re reporting on today’s practice or yesterdays. Usually these videos align super well with Hondos.
I saw that too......Hondo was critical of the QB play. That's the hard part about this time of the year. It's all subjective. There was an article about Tyree not being impressive BUT in the scrimmage he had a sack and a couple of pressures. Seems like certain people have their agendas.

I'm all for Glaze to be our day 1 starter! As the word around camp was saying, he held his own against a top 3 DE, according to the NFL players voting. I know it's training camp but to be thrown in the mix because of TM small injury and holding his own? I would rather have a rookie in there then a 3rd year starter who maybe making rookies mistake still..
If only Minshews’ legs could combine with O’Connells’ arm to make one really good QB instead of 2 pretty good all time backups… the goal of 12 personnel is to get the ball out quickly , on time, & in rhythm & to keep that rhythm sustained through drives. In theory, it’s a 2 read passing offense which should mitigate pressure. I still think O’Connell holds the edge just because of his arm. But he could still lose the spot if he can’t figure it out. Either way, this offense is probably going to be volatile. They will boat race a few teams & then disappear for a while. The defense will have to carry again.
Tre Tucker needs to become our KR/PR and occasionally be the slot WR...I don't see how we can trust him to catch passes as an every down WR3. I wonder if anyone in the building is considering bringing Renfrow back on a cheap 1yr deal...if we don't he is going to end up on a cheap deal with the Chiefs and that turncoat Gruden.
I agree with almost everything you say except the fact that you think we're only winning 4-5 games this year. we have a top defense and playmakers on offense with a great oline when healthy. Gar DAWG might not be an all pro type of QB but he proved he can definitely win games. he almost led the colts to the playoffs if it weren't for a dropped pass that was the receivers fault. Defense wins games. That's how we beat them chiefs with AO not completing a pass since the first quarter. and now we only got better. So my prediction is were winning 10-12 games this year

You need to find a new source who knows what the fuck their talking about. He said in first day of pads that Minshew won the job. That’s an idiotic statement to make. The fact that Aiden has been holding his own against a six year vet says a lot about Aiden. He’s basically a rookie and Minshew is having a hard time separating himself also says a lot about where minshews growth has stagnated. It’s practice and I don’t care who has a better day in practice. Aiden will start. They’re acting like it’s a competition but it’s only to make Aiden better, not to take his job away. You don’t sit a guy with untapped potential against a six year vet who can’t stick with a team…
Dude AOC is not Carr. We don’t have to hand him the job because he was here last season. That’s what training camp and preseason is for making that evaluation. If AOC steps up he will win if he doesn’t then he doesn’t need to be handed a job.
Was just watching another Raider Insider 's review if Saturday practice and he's saying the ENTIRE offense (except TEs and Jakobi Meyers) looked 110% pathetic. Filled with pre-snap, false starts, illegal formations, fumbles, dropped balls, uninspiring offense. From the 1st thru 3rd string.
He really didn't make a distinction as to which QB was better though. He just said the whole offense was trash all scrimmage long.

The only way Jack Jones returns kicks is if he isn't starting at corner. Zero chance you risk a starting CB getting injured returning kicks.
@CasperCarsAndBikes78 Tim Brown blew his knee out on a kick return I believe in his second year and never returned a kickoff again. Deion did it in specific points in the game not every time. The game was different 30 years ago than it is now. You cannot risk a starter for a kick off that never gets returned for a TD.Who was the last Raider to return a kickoff? Phil Buchanon stunk. He stunk so bad we traded him for a 2 and a 5, I believe
@CasperCarsAndBikes78 Tim Brown returned 5 kickoffs after he blew his knee out in 12 years. Without watching the game some of those could have been onside kicks, or injuries happen that forced him into the position. He retuned 41 his rookie year, blew his knee out in year 2 and it's what he said. Not a lie. Yes Deion returned kicks and punts like I said, he was not doing it full time. He would do it in close games or late in games. In Deion 14 year career he retuned 212 punts. About 1 a game. 155 kickoffs, less then 1 a game. Exactly what I said.
Sanjit, I am a bit confused about this video. Hondo Carpenter said both the QB’s and WR’s (minus Meyers) were abysmal. He did highlight Tyree, DJ, and a couple other guys had a great day. Although, I’m not sure if you’re reporting on today’s practice or yesterdays.

I saw that too......Hondo was critical of the QB play. That's the hard part about this time of the year. It's all subjective. There was an article about Tyree not being impressive BUT in the scrimmage he had a sack and a couple of pressures. Seems like certain people have their agendas.
@@cedricdixon1069 yeah, I watch Sanjit all the time, but, specifically in training camp, I consider Hondo’s first-hand account more reliable than Sanjit’s unknown source. Sanjit is goated in his postgames, tape analyses and D-line/O-line breakdowns.

That has to be a hard thing for a QB to get out of their comfort zone. AOC is an accurate passer but the ability to move in the pocket is necessary anymore in today’s NFL.

If only Minshews’ legs could combine with O’Connells’ arm to make one really good QB instead of 2 pretty good all time backups… the goal of 12 personnel is to get the ball out quickly , on time, & in rhythm & to keep that rhythm sustained through drives. In theory, it’s a 2 read passing offense which should mitigate pressure. I still think O’Connell holds the edge just because of his arm. But he could still lose the spot if he can’t figure it out. Either way, this offense is probably going to be volatile. They will boat race a few teams & then disappear for a while. The defense will have to carry again.

I agree with almost everything you say except the fact that you think we're only winning 4-5 games this year. we have a top defense and playmakers on offense with a great oline when healthy. Gar DAWG might not be an all pro type of QB but he proved he can definitely win games. he almost led the colts to the playoffs if it weren't for a dropped pass that was the receivers fault. Defense wins games. That's how we beat them chiefs with AO not completing a pass since the first quarter. and now we only got better. So my prediction is were winning 10-12 games this year
