Brando was like Miles Davis. Never performing the same way twice. Miles Davis would stop in the middle of a song, angry that it just wasn’t what his soul needed for a particular line for his horn, then start a completely new version of the horn that sounded completely different. A meticulous genius striving for new ways, going over and over until his soul was happy with the results. Brando would do the same in acting. He would do a scene 15 different ways. Karl Maldon would tell us this. Both very genuine, and soulful, filled with such feeling for their craft!
I think this is an excerpt from a documentary that was on (I think) PBS only once, then disappeared. It was something like four hours long, and it seemed too short! We can't get these things on DVD or anywhere else. I don't even know what it was called. I hate CZcams for this reason, because you get bleeding chunks that you can't identify or trace. They just make you want more.
i have noticed something about youtube. The same people seem to trend all over it .brando is one of them. Not many people say anything critical everyone just kisses his arse.
If you ever manage to be capable enough to give anyone in YOUR life one 10th of 0:0 1% of the reason to kiss your ass that Brando did, then you might finally get it!! Then again-maybe not!
Just for note: Marlon Brando indeed was incredibly talented actor and human being and probably the greatest of all time in American Film industry. But the thing is i'd like to underline, Brando is not alive , he passed away many years ago , and none of these people are not forced and not dependant on him, Brando never owned paramount pictures or any other movie making studio, so, none of these actors have nothing to owned to Brando to say good things about him. In every interview, interviewers are asking actor , what was like working with Brando, or who do you think is greatest of all time, its interviewers asking actor not actors coming to the studio begging to talk about Brando, you see what i mean.
Brando was a total nut job. Very unstable personality, narcissist and anti-social. Yes, he could act, as long as the lines were on a billboard behind the person he was talking to, but if he weren't an actor, he would have been in jail or a mental institution. Never heard anyone ever say that he was a great guy or even a good friend. That tells you something. They only talk about his work.
All my life I’ve always been fascinated by Marlon Brando.

Oh, Marlon - my first love - I watched On the Waterfront late at night when I was 13 years old, and I changed. I crossed a threshhold.
