Time-Lapse Fun (Make A Quilt Top Start To Finish)

- This is a Time-Lapsed Video of me making a quilt top start to finish.
It was almost 4 days of work and recording off and on, a total of 27 hours of footage shrunk down to 27 minutes and I added the intro video. I just love how much I can record in time lapse. If I would have done regular videos I would have needed to do 5 minute increments and move and edit each individual video to another device right after recording it. That is too much hassle when I just want to quilt haha.
The quilt I am making is a Churn Dash block (very traditional quilt block) repeated and I add sashing and use color placement to create a whole different look.
I added paper writing directions just to see how that goes cause there was so much footage to add any quick screen writing pop ups. So since the background does not move I figured I would try paper and marker writings to describe what I am doing and the sizes and order I have done things.

Beautiful result! Sashing really adds to the pretty blocks, cornerstones in same colors as center squares, too. Handwritten signs were cool. Sometimes they were hard for my old eyes to read but overall great. Love your style!

It's just chrun dash blocks. The key is the sashing.

Why thank you ☺ I know fast speed makes it looks easy. But it took 27 hours of filming to achieve this. Plus the time I took off camera to plan lol. I hope you try it. It's super fun and one of the easier blocks for sure ☺

That's looks wonderful. I don't normally like a churndash block. But I love that.
It's cool right. I think it's taken back due to how I laid it out, breaks up the color and how I assembled the sashing creates a whole different look.

It looked a lot more like a Burgoyne Surrounded in the thumbnail than a churn dash. The surprise was fun.

What are you trimming the half square triangle for love ? Xx
Trimming them to 4.5" so everything is 4.5" for the block

This was purely meant to show the whole process, I added the papers to say what I was doing. My other videos are tutorial style. This one was because there is no videos showing the world the whole top being made and how much work and time go into them ☺ so I had to be the first 😂 to make this kinda video ☺
