Simple Nursing Thank you so much. I am not a student but loved your explanation. I was born without a thyorid glad. I am five months pregnant with our second baby. I could relate so much to what you shared. The only difference I have always remember being super thin expect when I was around 25- 26 years old I noticed I did start to gain weight, but my Dr. Just changed my dosage and within a month I was back to where I was. When I tell people I have hypo thyorid, they tell me I'm too skinny and assume I mean the other one. I then add I was born with out it. They think I'm lying.🤦♀️🤷♀️. It's funny though, a new Dr. will always be fascinated by this and check my neck. Look at my chart then check it again. 😅🙄

Love your video! I have started following a diet for 90 days which will completely cure Hypothyroidism if I follow it the right way. It may take longer than 90 days dependant upon how severe my condition is. I am on thyroid meds for 13 years now and I can't wait to take them off any live my life freely with full of energy and zeal!

According to martini fundamentals of anatomy and physiology the hypothalamus secretes TSH and the pituitary secretes TRH, consider revision.
I'm not even here learning for nursing school, but I learned so much so I can explain the difference to my family and friends since I've been recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Thanks for the informative video!

i have mixed symptoms....the hell does that mean?! i'm skinny, have low blood pressure however i get palpitations to the point where it feels like cardiac arrest, i'm always cold, i feel like a corpse most of the time but i have my moments where i feel like i'm high on coke & my hair is the biggest & was the 1st problem i experienced
Same here im not skinny tho.. my doctor doesn't seem to care I have low TSH levels but high sodium levels.. looks like I need to find a new doctor
Try testing for Biotoxin /mold illness? That's what I ended up having with that mix
@@SatanenPerkele been taking iron+folic acid supplements for most of my life so it's not that. & My doctor refused to to prescribe me vitamin D even though I tested very low in it

Great explanation. I was diagnosed as having Graves. Sometimes it feels like I have both 🤦🏾♀️.
I was diagnosed with graves too few days ago. I was given medicine for lowering heart rate and one more for lowering production of hormones in thyroid.. but the thing with me is that I don't have all symptoms of hyperthyroidism.. like I have constipation, and some days I feel really low without energy.. so for me feels like I have symptoms of both mixed too 🤷🏻♀️

I had done radio iodine therapy 5 yrs back and became hypo, now m taking thyronorm 100 mcg, but m still not well. Sometimes I get both the symptoms of hyper n hypo. Pls suggest.

First, it is fast and overactive from inflammation but eventually, it stops putting out the hormones so it is then underactive and slow.
so im studying right now for nclex and im using Uworld, guys what he is saying is so accurate. all the test questions use what he says. never doubt this man!! lol

I am suppose to have thyroid problems so My doctor says been on and off medication for three years and don't have any thyroid problems and never had i stopped the medication

I had hypothyroidism for over 3 years. Then, it turned into hyperthyroidism.
Then, when I was on 100 mcg, I noticed my heart pounded like crazy when resting.
So, I tapered down to 75 mcg. Same thing. 50 mcg. Same. 25 mcg. Same.
Then, I eventually stopped. My heart started beating regularly.
2 weeks later, I had my thyroid checked and it was normal.
So, I no longer have a thyroid problem. It righted itself.
I wonder what was going on for it to start functioning normally again.
Hey, I'm not complaining.
Thyroid problems and the medicine that treats it can cause tooth loss, bone loss gum problems, etc.
What if you have symptom of both hyper and hypo
You can have both i did had both i remove mine...allready
