Actually, they already threw the "cleansed symbiote" thing out the door with the most recent arc of Space Knight. It separated from Flash and went on a nice little murder spree. Apparently it can't be cleansed again and the other Klyntar want to destroy it instead, but Flash doesn't want it to die.

Jardo Smeeth Looking at the date of the upload this looks like one of his last videos, its so sad when someone passes away, must be hard for his family members to look back at these😢.
Much as the newer versions of Venom may not be as crowd pleasing it seems, I have to say I personally love the character design of Agent Venom and Space Venom a lot. I'd buy both based on looks alone.
That back story almost made me sick. I would never think a character like Venom would be wanting peace. I hope that they bring back the sinister old venom.
I can't help but wonder if the head sculpt and basic shape was inspired by EVA-002 from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Glenn, In venom space knight issues 5-9, the symbiote was forced to bond with an unstable host to help Flash in a mission. This made the symbiote unstable again and now it starting to return to the original Venom's personality.
I actually like the retcon for the Symbiote and its race, probably one of the better stories in the Bendis GOTG run. (Im not big on Bendis writing Guardians btw.)
I like the idea of it once being apart of a hive mind and when separated, basically turns insane and ferocious.
As for Space Knight Flash, I hear its good, but im kind of busy with other comics. But this does look like a pretty cool figure.
Give Miles 10 more years, he'll catch up. Peter has decades of followings.
Currently in the Space Venom comic, Venom actually is going all insane and savage and scary again.

Space Venom's design reminds me of something from Transformer's Beast Wars/Beast Machines. I'm sure he'll go back to "basic Venom" in due time, because that's his most iconic look. And a new Apocalypse BAF would be cool, as long as it's not based off of the movie design. I wouldn't mind seeing an AoA design for him, since I already have the original BAF. But if they were going to use a never before made BAF character, I'd think Nezhno/Gentle would be cool.

My top three of this wave starting at # 3: would be electro then number 2: would be a tie of the ultimate Spidermen then at #1: is hobgoblin! Because he is my one of my favorite villains. Great review and can't wait for the x-men wave!
I only wanted Silk and Spiderbitch from this line and ended up getting the latter without the BAF piece on Ebay. Hearing the details about Space Venom (ad the lame backstory) has convinced me to get Silk as cheap and complete as possible without the piece. Thanks :)
The Head of this Venom looks like the mechas from the Evangelion anime
I would like to see the Space Knight Venom mold redone as Venom from Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man.
1: Silk, definitely the nicest female ML figure overall, though I'm pissed they still didn't give her double elbows. There is no excuse at this point.

3. Electro, I really love this figure and he's far from a favourite character of mine
4. Peter Parker. Boring but a good figure, and I like having a teenage version of him.
5. Ashley Barton

I have to say its an awesome wave overall, like even my least favourite Hobgoblin I'd still give a 7.5/10 rating.
Liking the BAF a lot too, though I do hate the new venom retcon.
i think he is called space knight venom cause the new look resembles the look of the Destroyer armor from Thor. The head and the style of the lining overall resemble that armor.
I'll be picking up hobgoblin and electro. Personally I hate the way that the spiderman waves are being mostly comprised of various spidermen/women.

Hey Glenn! Great review. I agreed with most of what you said, with the exception of Hobgoblin, who I quite like, though I'm still holding out for the rumored Green Goblin. This may also be because I'm a fairly new collector, so I adore Hasbro for putting out redos of characters, although I can see why older collectors wouldn't feel that way.

The #9 issue that came out yesterday seems to be ditching the whole Space cop gimmick and I won't spoil it but it's looks to be heading back towards the end of Cullen Bun's run of the character... or should I say characters?

I have to say, regardless of opinions on the character, this is one of Hasbro's best BAF's ever. The sculpt is very nice, and the figure has an overall appealing look.
Plus it has all the articulation of a normal sized legend.
I still think it should have been ultimate venom to accommodate the 2 ultimate figures in the wave. Plus we had ultimate goblin as a BAF. why not venom?
Wtf? Like no, have you not seen the the juggernaut BAF? It's 10x better and better figures.

+Elijah Gonzales Juggernaut looks terrible compared to Space Venom. His head is God-awful, and if I wanted another Juggernaut so bad I would've bought the Select. This BAF actually has appealing sculpt and the best BAF articulation so far this year. How do u have Onslaught as #1?? He can strike like 3-4 poses. I think the top 3 (in no specific order) are this one, Absorbing Man, and Giant Man. Also, I never said this is the best wave figure-wise. I know good and well the X-Men one is a better wave.

I would've put Silk first as well because they managed to make the face sculpt very pretty. Though is it weird calling a plastic toy pretty?
Glenn, if you don't like the direction the character was taking, you seriously pick up some of the more recent issues. Without spoiling too much, the Venom symbiote isn't quite as "healed" as everyone thought, and isn't too happy being a defender of the cosmos. The last two issues have even given us some of the most frightening Venom imagery I've seen in quite a long time, and gave a bit more depth to the relationship between Flash and Venom, so I think you'd like this arc.
To be fair, though, the first mini arc is kind of just bog-standard sci-fi superhero shenanigans, so I can understand why you were so turned off by the new direction. But it looks like the Venom everyone wants to see isn't actually too far off.

If they do have "Apocalypse" as a Build a Figure do you think they would use the "Iron Monger" Build a Figure for parts and to cost-cut on the molds?

I kind of hope this wave tanks. It might be the first Legends wave where I'll probably skip all of the figures including the BaF.
The X-Men wave is definitely going to be the blockbuster wave of the year and I hope Hasbro takes that into consideration going forward as it seems as though they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel lately with Spiderman figures. Especially the females.
I'm only getting Miles and Peter. I'm not really a collector but I'm a huge fan of the Ultimate earth.
Frekki What? Silk is a very popular character. She's not bottom of the barrel at all. Miles isn't either, not are Hobgoblin and Electro.
Can't wait for X-men series it is a solid wave I wish Hasbro would use it as the new standard for all up and coming waves but will see. Great reviews Glenn.

Glenn, I've had an idea of making a custom Elektra out of the Silk with just the head(s) and maybe another body type. If you'd make the same custom, would you and which body would you use?
I haven't been keeping up with the comics lately so I thought this wasn't flash as venom but rom the space knight taken over by the symbiote. silly I know, but the design of the head has sort of a rom vibe at least to me, also maybe the destroyer from thor.
This could have been an epic Eddie Brock Venom... It still looks good though.

That Silk looks pretty good. I might have to get it. This wave is a pass for me. I'm not liking all these Spider-Man waves. They're releasing figures on characters I don't even know. I thought about getting the pizza spider-man but skipped on it and I think I'm going to skip everything Spider-Man. I'm hoping we get more classic renditions of characters soon

Oh man, that's some freaky ret-conning Venom went through. Another retcon would probably be easy to do though if Space Knight Venom isn't popular enough. Something like the Kraang in 2012 Ninja Turtles. Spoilers: One of their own overthrew the race and hive-minded everyone to be subservient. Does that retcon idea sound plausible?
That would actually have been better. The symbiotes once were an evil alien race but one of them wanted peace and hive-minded everyone except Venom(and his offspring) because Venom was too far away from the planet.
So it could work. Neat. And while we're at it, did they try to explain away the "planet of the Symbiotes" thing from the Clone Saga? Or did that get non-connonized before? I don't read comics
