That Checkpoint looks amazing and thanks for sharing! I have 3 Trek stores local to me, but I'm enjoying your videos and how you're actively promoting the Trek brand. I just built up a Checkpoint SL5 frame with Campy Ekar/Levante and used Pirelli for tires. Pirelli worked great on the Aeolus Pro 3V wheels, too. Went SL instead of SLR because I want to eventually run a dropper post. I don't think a ProjectOne is possible on the SL. True?
Your correct. Can’t run a dropper on the slr. We all run the pirelli gravel h around here! Let me know if you ever need anything we ship!

@@bicyclestation Hows the fit on the new checkpoints? Looking at the size chart I am kinda in between sizes of 52 and 54. Im 5'8.5 with a 30 inch inseam. 52 or 54? Im going to try to get on both but might be tough to find one of each.
@@thewisconsingravelcyclist I’m in the same boat! Trek says a 52 is for people shorter but 54 def feels tall
@@MarcEstrella I ended up with a 52 for stand over height to be correct. Great fit and loving the bike so far!

When is a Domane more suitable than a Checkpoint?
For road rides. It’s not got the tire clearance the checkpoint does and it’s got steep we geo
