- How to shorten "Soothie" pacifiers and similar pacifiers for open mouth Silicone babies and Reborns. Reborns/Silicone babies are life-like baby "DOLLS" not real babies. You should never shorten/modify pacifiers for real babies.

This is how I do mine too, it seems less of a waste to cut them if you use the tip also, and my thinking was that it was less rough of an edge so it wouldn't scratch paint 🙂

Yes, I understand - these babies are so sweet and they seem so real - their 'equipment' should seem as 'real' as they are too. I mean we go to all these lengths to buy this special equipment and clothing, etc. - so why not those little details? (This baby above is so angelic - all dressed in white/cream.) Just my thoughts ^_^

whats the difference between a reborn and silicone babies ?
Reborns are made out of vinyl and are hollow inside and filled with ground glass for weighting and poly fill for softness. Silicone babies are made from poured silicone into a mold and are solid silicone, a rubbery type material.
