@@wilsonhishono4980 music is universal. It doesn’t matter what language it is as long as the delivery is good

@@mumadzore2309 you are right I agree 100% but music becomes a greater blessing and appreciated if the message is understood...or even a translation. The Holy Cross Choir in the 90s would release various translations in singing of isiZulu, seTswana etc to reach a greater audience so it makes perfect sense if we want to go beyond borders of our country we must be appealing to other markets with our talent and think outside the SAcan box

@@wilsonhishono4980 with all due respect and without getting into much detail whites through missionaries had their own reasons when they were trying to preach to people who didn’t understand English but ultimately I just don’t like the notion of acting as if English is the end all and be all language. Yes right now it’s the most popular but the world can change. Why not more emphasis on Swahili or something? There’s a huge population of Africans who speak that language. I think Joyous Celebration is a good example of a group that showed it’s possible to sing in your ethnic languages and still draw a big international audience. I am Zimbabwean and although I don’t understand South African languages I still enjoy SA music because it’s all about the way it’s done
