Your guitar playing along with your team has blessed countless lives and churches with the songs you all made. Awesome video, awesome playing, just awesome all around!!! Thank you David!!!
God bless you David! your music and guitar lines are amazing!
God bless you David :) you are inspiring musicians around the world.
Amazing tone 😍! Beautiful song
Oh.... sounds like angel's voice
Those electric harmonies 🤤🤤🤤 - nice job David!
The classic professionalism in the guitar, being subjective and being eviendende at the necessary time !.
Bethel music is my all time favourite worship band. Amazing group of musicians.
So tasty! I absolutely love how this is exactly what the song needs. Nothing more, nothing less. Great playing and love your tone, man!
Love this. Sounds so great!
Wow!this is amazing!
I purchased your AC30 and prosonic Kemper profiles and IR's and oh my THEY RULE! I have never sounded this good lol. Thanks for making these available to us!
Thanks for the feedback - glad they are helpful!
I purchased the line6 helix and it rules to, thank you, keep up the great work.
more of these!! this is great!
Wow thanks for doing this! Super helpful!
So so good 🔥
Thank you David!
loooove these videos
I literally keep watching this because of how good his tone his, those reverbs are freaking perfect
You are the best David. 👌❤️
Wander Jr. 👊🏻
Awesome playing as always 🤙🏻
That tone 😩🤤
Awesome man 👌🏼
I recommend your videos to pretty much everyone I know! Unmatched quality in my opinion!
Thanks dude!
Wow this this sounds epic!!!
Thanks my dude!
The reverbs are so good !!!! I need to get this preset !!
the power of Strymon 🔥
Bro love ur sound🔥🔥
nice sound !
killer!
I play this song tomorrow and when you get to the chorus my fingers and guitar harmonics were all like "yeah, no" so I'm doing a lot more moving of my fingers and it's slightly more staccato, on the bright side it looks more impressive, haha.
Guitar Red 😱🔥
AMEN🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ❤❤❤❤❤
I love this. How on earth do you do that chorus so smoothly?? I go to switch my ring finger to that next fret while keeping my middle finger seated and literally can’t! 😆 The rest of the song is no issue. Well played!
Sounds Awesome David,
Do you have, Lambertone Cremates Pups in that Portlander?
Great Guitar, God Bless..
These videos are super helpful! What EQ settings and mic placement do you prefer on your Fender amp? Thanks!
Make a video of "reckless love" bro....
Dude, this is amazing! What's your signal chain? Love it!
🤘🤘🤘
would u wanna do a patch for the hx effects which is the effect-only version????
Do a video on playing a baritone! There’s literally no baritone content. I want one but only know minimal concepts.
😍
👍👍
Please make some with kemper only!
Hey David ! Could you tell me more about your drive section? I use your IRs in my Iridium and they have made all the difference. I’d love to gain more understanding on your drive sounds.
What pedal is your main drive sound?
What pedal is your main lead/solo sound?
How often and what parts would you use the Kilt v2 for?
How often and what parts would you use the Lightspeed for?
Any info and help would be so awesome!
Hey! I could probably be off help and explain what I've heard Dave talk about!
Question 1, his main drive sound is a kilt V1 with heavy reverb and delay
2, kick on the pog and take a tiny bit of verb off, still very heavy though,
kilt v2 is only for rythmn since it tames the top end and provides a dirty sound,
Lightspeed is only for single coil guitars.
When you record/mix parts are all guitars panned hard left and right in stereo? Basically if you have 3 different guitar parts all in stereo how are you panning them to provide clarity for each guitar to cut and also leave space for everything else in the mix?
So when you have 3 guitarists you pan rhythm 1 to the left and rhythm 2 to the right and you would have the lead guitarist panned in both left and right sorry I’m a year late 😅😅
💼📝 you don’t mess around! #toneboss
Man..i hope in future you can make Helix patch for us :)
Coming soon!
What video editor do you use to get the split screen?
Any chance you're doing a playthrough of "Love on Fire" soon?!
Maybe! We will see.
Please David 🙏🏼, that will amazing 🙌🏼💯
Hey David, I was curious how you normally run your AC30 and Prosonic amps in a live setting. Do you usually have them panned hard left and right in your ears with stereo effects going into the front of both of them?
Yes, stereo out of my board into each amp, then both are panned hard left and right in monitors and FOH - then use the channel volume on the consoles for a panning effect while still keeping the stereo image wide.
This is just breathtaking, as expected. What pickups do you have in the portlander on top?
Thanks! Lollar Goldfoils.
@@DavidHislop I am using a pod go now(fellow Brian may fan an gear owner here too!) I use some of your presets but instead of a normal boost pedal, I use a treble booster an my red special replica into the ac30 fawn normal etc etc.
David! What are the pickups have your guitars? This sound is incredible! Regards from Argentina!
The black sparkle Portlander has Lollor Gold Foils for sure and the red Portlander I think has Bear Cats but I'm not 100% on that
Your tone is killer!! I’m about to buy your IR’s to load on the strymon iridium. Do you think having 2 iridiums running separate amp models “ the ac30 and the reverb deluxe” would get closer to the sound of your 2 amp setup? I really dig your CZcams channel!
Thanks! I haven’t tried running two of them, I know you can load two different IR’s into the left and right side and that sounds cool.
David Hislop Thanks I will start there!
Man the IR’s are great!! Took the Iridium to a new level.
Mr Hislop, how do you feel being the best worship guitar player in the world? love U bro, greetins from Brazil
Hey David. I purchased your AC30 Kemper Profile and Greenback IRs and it sounds fantastic! Quick question though, I've noticed in your videos that sometimes the compressor appears to be on in slot 1 and other times it's not. Have you found that you like the extra amp like compression right before the amp or do you find yourself playing more without it when you have the Tone Press on? Also, do you typically run your Kilt V2 with the bass cut on or off? Thanks!
Thanks! I always have my tone press on, but sometimes go back and forth on running that kemper comp as well. For the most part I keep it off, but sounds good either way. Bass cut is off on my kilt.
Guitar used as keyboard/synth pads. Jeepers. So, are the two parts you show here the parts you recorded on the studio version of this song? Are there any more guitar overdubs on the studio track? Which parts are played live? Are tracks of prerecorded guitar used live or do y'all cover all parts with more than 2 electric players?
Beutiful
Sounds amazing man!! What pickups are in that black portlander?
Thanks - Lollar Goldfoils.
Again amazing man! Thanks for the vids. Do you like the Lambertones more than the Pioneer ones?
Thanks! The cremas are really close to the bearcats. Negligible difference IMO. You would be happy with either.
@@DavidHislop what about the Pioneer Pope's vs Cremas? Thanks!
@@gsexton89 I don't think he plays Popes ever. They're all Bearcats if I remember. From what I gather Lambertones are lower output, less mids a little bit more clarity (for me less body). Pope has more mids and lows, actually more balanced and a little bit more output
When you go to that outro lead on the Sparkly Veritas, are you using your Kilt v1 and kicking on its boost, or are you using your Kilt v2?
Kilt V1 with boost.
where did you get that jacket
What overdrive are you using with that Sparkle Veritas on the second chorus and build?
JHS kilt.
The sound is so good! How do we have the similar sound without the kemper and pedalboard? Is it possible to produce the similar tones and effects with garageband?!
Azabe Jisca it would be very challenging... I would advise investing in dedicated guitar fx to what fits your budget. Line6 stuff is pretty budget friendly for what it offers and would do a much better job than only garage band.
@@DavidHislop besides the helix, what do you think about their other stuff like the pod500fx or the firehawk?
@@ValWillKay I haven't used either, but I will say digital modeling has gotten closer to analog in recent years, so they probably won't be on the same level as newer digital gear. Ultimately, I am a pedal and amps guy all the way - but I know that can get pricey and isn't practical for everyone.
Sounds killer! Great parts =)
What guitars are these btw?
Veritas Custom Portlanders. Amazing guitars. veritascustomguitars.com/
Veritas Custom Portlander.
Thanks guys! 😊
what guitars are those?
All Hail Helix Patch?
Anyone know what modulation he’s using for the chorus?
The destroyer setting on my möbius.
I love your parts, David! And man, I want a Veritas! Would you make any recommendations if I were to order one?
Thanks man! The portlanders are my fav. Go Craftsman or Custom.
@@DavidHislop do you run noise suppressors with your gear to cut amp hiss?
joe threlfall nope - it’s quiet with my volume pedal down. Drives pre volume.
@@DavidHislop cool. Is there a pedal board rundown coming up soon?
joe threlfall it’s on my to-do list!
otimo
What’s your ways to boost your lead line?
The boost on my kilt.
Thank you for clarification🙏🏻🙌🏻
