HOW TO MAKE A RHINESTONE TUMBLER // DIY Custom Bedazzled Disney Bling Cup Tutorial for Beginners

- In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how I made this gorgeous rhinestone skinny tumbler with a Disney Castle/Mickey Mouse design, personalized with a name. Rhinestoning is time consuming, but not difficult! This project is much easier than it looks and this tutorial is beginner friendly, as long as you have the patience for it lol. This tumbler is unique because holographic vinyl is left exposed as part of the design, rather than rhinestoning over it with another colour! I love the way this tumbler turned out and will definitely be using this technique again in the future. This tumbler is made using “the scatter method” and various sizes of rhinestones.
Key points to note:
► Prep your tumbler by sanding it and cleaning it with alcohol
► Apply your vinyl decals first
► Rhinestone around the outline of your decal with small stones
► Rhinestone a straight line across the top and bottom edges before filling in the cup
► Let the glue cure for 7 days
► Always hand-wash your rhinestone creations

I totally am never going to do a rhinestone cup because I don't have the patience. Yours was/is stunning!! I wonder if you laid a shift glitter that shifts in the same colors as your rhinestones, resined (and very lightly sanded for adhesion) and then laid your rhinestones then any gaps would be invisible. Since I don't do rhinestone cups I don't have a clue if that's possible, it was just something that popped into my head while you were doing the video. Great Job!!

I need help!! I’m planning on starting one if these. I’m ordering supplies on amazon( for now) I watched videos and they all say ab stones ( while more beautiful) the coating comes off w washing so not good to use?? Idk what to do. Also what is a good glue for tumblers/wine glasses/ plastic cups? Do I NEED to epoxy after?? Thank you fii oh r any help
Hi! I have never had the coating come off of any AB stones, and I would never recommend using epoxy over top of rhinestones because it will fill in all the facets of the stones and make them not sparkly anymore. Avoid epoxy! As long as you’re gluing with a good quality adhesive and proper technique, they shouldn’t budge 😊 I have had great success with GemTac on many surfaces, but if I need a more industrial hold I go with E6000 glue (used in my bling crocs video). can u use the honeycomb method in the big blank spaces then small ones around the vinyl
Yes absolutely you can! You can do as much honeycomb as you want and then fill in the gaps with smaller stones.

Hi there! Thank you so much 🥰 I have had no issues washing this, I used permanent vinyl which is supposed to be safe to wash, and I think the rhinestones and adhesive give it extra durability. I’ll actually be posting a tutorial on how to wash rhinestone tumblers this Friday, and this is the tumbler I wash in the video! 😊

Hi! The tumbler came out gorgeous! I read that you got these rhinestones from AliExpress. Does it take a long time to receive products from this website or is that not true?
Thank you Yvette!! Yes shipping times with AliExpress are definitely long, especially in this Amazon Prime era we are used to haha. They give an estimated shipping date and I find they’re pretty accurate! It’s usually about 1-2 months.
