Vandalur new bus stand | Koyambedu bus stand | Madhavaram bus terminus | Kuthambakkam Bus Terminus

In this video, I have covered information Chennai mofussil bus terminus which includes kilamambakkam bus terminus aka Vandalur new bus terminus, Koyambedu bus stand aka cmbt bus stand, Madhavaram bus terminus, Kuthambakkam Bus Terminus, Thirumazhisai bus terminus, Broadway Bus stand
in this video, I have shared information about the transformation of Chennai mofussil bus terminus. Initially, all the SETC and pallavan buses were operating from Broadway bus terminus. Due to over congestion and crowd Tamil nadu government did plan to move the bus terminus to CMBT (Koyambedu)
As per plan, Parry pookai bus terminus was moved to CMBT bus stand(Aka Koyambedu bus terminus) in 2002 and in 2003 an OMNI bus was also started just adjacent to CMBT bus terminus to cater the space requirements of Private buses and omni buses like SRM, Parveen, Garuda.
Adding to the advantage, Chennai metro railway station was started very closed to Koyambedu bus stand.
Over the years, Koyambedu Bus stand too faced the same problem as Broadyway bus stand. Too much of congestion and increased traffic in city roads has again make the government think about moving the bus stand to outskirts of Chennai.
Three bus stand were planned
1. Madhavaram Bus stand - To cater the bus movements to and from Andhra pradesh(Asrtc) and places north of chennai. Madhavaram Bus terminus also has two floors of bus parking first of this kind in Chennai city. All buses to places like tirupathi, buses to Hyderabad, buses to nellore are set to start from here.
2. Vandalur Kilambakkam Bus Terminus was initiated to handle the bus movements especially to south of Chennai. The bus stand is almost nearing completion and Kilambakkam Bus Terminus opening is on cards very soon.
On completion, this bus stand is all set to become the largest bus stand or largest bus terminus in India. The size of Vandalur new bus stand terminus is almost 90 acres. Soon, buses to madurai, buses to trichy, buses to thanjavur and other parts of Tamil nadu will start to ply from here.
3. The lastest project on cards is the Kuthambakkam bus terminus in Thirumazhisai. This bus terminus should also be referred as Thirumazhisai bus terminus as it is more popular than Kuthambakkam.
This bus stand is expected to handle bus traffic to and fro, places like Bangalore, Vellore, Hosur, Krishnagiri.
With Chennai ever expanding how long these bus terminus can handle the traffic and congestion is the question. Please to post your comments. Thanks

You are correct Nanba..I too noticed the way I disclosed it...I could have said it better. The bus station wise, it is the largest in Asia.(The area utilized to stop buses).. But, with Delhi's Bus terminus and service station for buses(Repair and maintenance center), Delhi stays at top...Vandalur Bus terminus way beyond in size..
