- It's so surreal that Banpresto always make something that was already amazing, even more amazingly! I remember when I first searched on CZcams about Super Robot Wars, the first video was of this Gurren Lagann. Last year I even didn't know that Gurren Lagann was from an anime(Yes, it's been only a year that I play SRW), I thought it was an original from the Super Robot Wars, and I felt very amazed seeing it, only some days after playing SRW I realized that the robots actually came from an anime. But whatever, I would like if they kept the Giga Drill Maximum as a normal attack and not as a MAP attack in SRW Z3, and I was thinking how will be the Gurren Lagann in the Z3.2 since its plot already ended, I would like if at least they put again the Arc-Gurren attack because it's just so epic. Just who the hell do you think Gurren Lagann is!?. "Hissatsu! Jikuu Retsudan! Burst Spinning! Puuuuuuuuunch"
Fun fact Viral has the same voice actor of Link from Ocarina of Time. He did all the grunts at least of Adult Link.
Yeah he also did Guy Shishioh and Maito Senpuji and Shiro Amada. Tons of mecha icons.

Wait a minute, I can't believe it took me until now to realized that that Super Inazuma Kick there was referencing Gunbuster's super Inazuma Kick as a powerful kick performed by two pilots
Similar with how the sunglases boomerang is essentialy the same as the great boomerang from great mazinger and the boomerang wing is like the kaiser boomerang from mazinkaiser
And the gurren lagann it self is just zambot 3 with RTX on
I mean it’s a combination of getter,gunbuster, Mazin
It's also a reference by virtue of the fact that Gainax is the production studio of both anime.

Its still pretty good. A downgrade for sure but its not awful
@@NeutralGuyDoubleZero I didn't say it was awful but if you'll compare the animations of this one to the latest installment of the game, this is still the greatest imo.
@@kennysans6958 i wasnt sure if you meant doing justice simply by the series itself or stepping up from the previous super robot wars game. Id say the new animations still does justice in terms of what the series deserves. Some of the returning moves actually look a bit better in the newer games i think, like sunglasses slasher and double boomerang spiral.
@@NeutralGuyDoubleZero Both the animation and the story didn't impress me that much on the latest one though I do agree they did refurbished some animations but I don't know maybe because I just got too attached to the older ones since it has a great line up of mechs and TTGL was not somewhat forced to join the crew like in X imo.

If you want to play it, I reccomend playing its prequel first. the prequel covers the first arc of gurren lagann, from Simon and Kamina going to the surface to the fight with the spiral king. Also if you finish the first game, you get a bunch of extra stuff when you begin the second.

@@salado1944 depends on the game. The srw franchise has series within it, and they handle the different series coexisting in their own way. In the z series, which is where gurren lagann made its debut, basically before the events of the game something happened which made a bunch of different versions of Earth to fuse into a single one. In some other games the different series just happen to coexist in the same world. But that of course limits what series can be in it. Because in that case you can't really have post apocalyptic stuff like gurren lagann next to more sci-fi space stuff like Gundam.

What games of the series would you recommend?
@@salado1944 honestly most of them are really good. What I would recommend as a way to try out the series is srw j for the Gameboy Advance. It's got an English translation and the difficulty curve is pretty forgiving so it's nice for newcomers to learn how the games are played

+Jiraiya Hermit Yes, it's the full version, and it's an ISO, so one file. It's a limited translation that only does menu items, unit and pilot names, etc, so the story will still be in Japanese.
