He has a non-standard accent (influenced by Cantonese), but his vocabulary and grammar is like a native speaker. Ten is a learner who is missing a lot of crucial vocabulary. I'm really impressed with his good pronunciation though. He does make mistakes sometimes, but his general grasp of the tones and the "difficult" sounds is very impressive.

bruh I am (American-born) Chinese and have been speaking Mandarin my whole life but I still find the language super difficult. I can only read a little and my vocab in general is pretty limited. I'm fluent enough to carry conversations and watch some shows. (bonus: I have a Beijing accent so I sound native even tho I'm not) Anyways, my point is I am super impressed by Ten's efforts and I find it very admirable and inspiring how hard he is trying. He's pretty much at about my level now and I've been speaking Mandarin my whole life AND he knows a bunch of other languages too! I'm constantly impressed by Ten and I'm always excited to see his progress.

I like that its not only me who continuously repeats the word before the word I dont know. I've only been studying Chinese for six months and every time that I don't know a word I'll just repeat the words before it over and over until I either get it or give up and google it. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who does that.
If you add up the time I have actively been learning Mandarin, it's only 6 or 7 months and I've only learned about a thousand characters. My understanding is very hit or miss right now but it's really fun to watch these kinds of videos anyways.
