For those that don’t know, Porsche 356’s came with the center beam adjusters built in. Beetles were never designed to be sporty, so they were not made that way. So glad the aftermarket world changed that. VW’s look badass lowered.
I've built a few lowered bugs over the years. They look great, but when they are that low they really kinda suck to drive. Bring that car up about 1 1/2" to 2" all the way around and it will change its drive ability completely. That extreme rear camber can and will cause oiling issues to the rear axle bearings, and has a tendency to tear up fulcrum plates where the inner axle end fits into the differential.
“This is so Volkswagen” 😂😂😂 Yupp, we have all been there!
I had a 60 years ago I sold to get married. This build brings back some good memories.

The best part is setting the car down for the first time and seeing just how low it goes! Looks rad! Great work guys!!
Washer under the head of the spring retainer pin will effectively shorten the pin to keep the lug bolts from hitting.

So sick I’m claiming it…Nicely done fellas looking forward to the next phase in the transformation.
Love the clarity you give on the different beetle mods! ))))
I love how in depth you guys get explaining and showing the process of the suspension install. Keep up the good work!
Love the clarity you give on the different beetle mods! Definitely useful for my own beetle panned project ❤
Please keep it I wish I lived there for the give away lots of love from south Africa Johannesburg
Fort Myers? That's my hood, well, close enough. Might have to check that event out.
Love it :) Patina rocks!! Those rear wheel bearings will be toast in a year but who cares right ;)
I had the same bolt length problem with mine .. didn’t realize I had to trim them and broke a spring in the drum .
My brake shoe retainers were too long from Jbugs. So I used washers to space it back so it wouldn't hit the lugbolts.
Make sure to use an oil shock on the front...looking good boyz!
This makes me so happy! Grinning from ear to ear over here! Can’t wait for the merch to try and win this.
Immediate flashbacks to Corey and I banging our heads absolutely fighting the front torsion springs out of mine.
My first car was 66 beetle... Doing a great job with this one. looks killer
