Я из России и мне они нравятся!!!!!
Depeche Mode the soundtrack of my life
Mine too from age 17 :)
I have been listening to this music since 1980.I love this music so much.
Me too :)
Best band I’ve ever heard. Saw them at o2 in Jan 2024!! Amazing 😻
Yeesss I agree :) You are so lucky that you got to see them. I wanted too but the tickets were sold out. They just played here in Copenhagen last weekend.
Vince Clarke leaving the band was the best thing that happened to them; Alan Wilder leaving was the worst.
I think everything happened as it should. I am not one of those who are pro or against a band member leaving as I see an evolution that happened for a reason. I loved the debut album which was my introduction to DM (and also a big part why I became an artist myself) and that album would never have happened and there would never have been a DM without Vince Clarke and his song writing on the first album.
Wouldnt it be an amIng collaboration if AW and VC got together?🖤
It is scary that they began 40+ years ago!
Fan since 1984, still love em...
Me too :)
I love Broken Frame to the Moon and Back... Forever.
Me too 😊
@@80sNewWaveMusicBF is literally the reason I started learning synths. GREAT vid, btw!
DM (Speak & Spell) was also a huge inspiration when I bought my first synth (A Korg Poly 61) :)
The best in the world. Devoted forever!😊
Always! :)
What a Ride... proud to be a devotee (over all the years) !
The best era with Alan Wilder...the best Depeche Mode...
Best band ive seen live!
Yes their energy is amazing :)
Anton Corbijn would have deserved to be mentioned as photographer and video director. His influence on the image of DM is massive.
He will be mentioned in a special video about his work with DM. This video had other priorities :)
Legends ❤️🔥💜
🔥🔥
Eternos. Minha vida tem a trilha sonora deles.
Excellent video! ❤❤❤This really is a great overview of one of my favorite bands.
Just a Pity the British press were always so negative about them.
Thank you :). Oh I did not know that about the British press. Yes that's a real shame but not uncommon. Just see what they did to Gary Numan in his early days.
German teeny pop magazines celebrated them. I remember the articles well even when they were always thrown by Martin's dress style lol
Ha ha yes I can imagine the press getting thrown off by his dresses :)
@@80sNewWaveMusic headlines like "Martin wearing his girlfriend's underwear " lol
Ha ha yes :)
Great info - thank you!!👍
Would have loved to know which tunes were stand outs on which albums...
That is a great idea for a new video :) Thanks :)
Very good work
Thank you :)
DM Forever! 🖤🖤
100% :)
Dang, forty-four years in just thirteen minutes? Great summary though.
Thanks :). I think 44 years of video would be to stretch it too far ha ha :)
What's the name of background music? Nice summary of DM's history 👌
Hi :). Thanks for your support and kind words. The music has no name. It's made by myself (Kristian) for this video.
@@80sNewWaveMusic Damn good track dude. 😎
Thanks :)
@@80sNewWaveMusicwow who’s voice is narrating? I subscribed
Thanks for your support. The voice is artificial but very realistic. Everything else is done by me :)
I miss Alan Wilder.
THIS band Tune'S are SoSo DeeP its DM XxX
Yes they are amazing :)
Love this summary. No AI could have written this. Well done ❤
Thank you for your support and yes everything is done by me except for the voice. That is AI :)
What's the name of the opening song? Is it a remix? Really cool!
Hi :) Thanks for your kind words. It's an original made by me. All background music in the videos here are made by me. It will soon be on SoundCloud.

@@80sNewWaveMusic Oh, really?! Great vibes, very depechy! Congrats :)
Thanks :)@@marivass1742
Alan Wilder was the king. this band is not an unique without him. i just like their music from end of 80'
i love DM but without Alan Wilder its not the same.. I miss him..
A Broken Frame was not well received. Even several members of DM has this as their least favorite album. Personally I find this a conundrum. It's the best album they ever made.
I have been with DM since the very beginning (Speak & Spell) and even went to their very first concert in Copenhagen when Vince Clarke was in the band and I have to agree with you. To me that album is sublime and in my top 3. The cool thing about DM is that there is an album for each and every one of us. Some of us love the early albums some the later ones :)
@@80sNewWaveMusic Where was that Copenhagen concert, and what year?
Saltlageret, november 1982. Here is the link to an audio recording. Not mine though.

@@80sNewWaveMusic Thanks for the link. I was at the same concert. It was great. Though Vince left in dec 81. So Alan was at the concert instead.
True! Its been years so i remember it wrong about Vince Clarke. It was a very nice concert 😊 Did you got the the latest one a few days ago? I sadly missed the opportunity and tickets were sold out.
They remind me of Captain and Tennille when they were still together.
This is definitely AI-generated. Dave has said many times that he doesn't want to be doing this into his 70's and he's had a few health scares in recent years. With Fletch gone, I think Memento Mori will most likely be the last album and tour.
No it's not AI generated. Everything from the script to the video and background music is done by me. The only AI I use is the voice. Many artists say they wan't to quit but do not do it for different reasons. Let's see what he does. I am not convinced it's their last album and tour ;)
feels like AI wrote this
Everything is done by me. The script, the video, the background music. Only the voice is AI.
Absolutely.
Excellent, fair and good overview.
I’ve been a fan since ‘81 but it’s over, Dave’s voice is gone. 😢
I agree his voice has changed but I disagree that it's gone. I have been a fan since the debut album Speak & Spell and I too prefer the way he used to sing but the man is getting older and it's its natural that his voice changes. Seen in that light I think he's doing great.
@@80sNewWaveMusic I’ve listened to several current live videos and I stand by my statement. I think they should have shut it down when Andy died. DM are still my favorite band of all-time, but it’s over.
Let's just agee to disagree ;)
After Alan Wilder there is no Depeche Mode.
As much as I recognise Wilder's huge contribution to Depeche Mode's legacy DM has survived fine without him for years now.
Ssshh
That's right, DM has survived because it is a renowned band, the last material I liked was Exciter, after that nothing but nothing was the same.
Wilder was necessary for the band's sounds, today the sounds are boring.
@@80sNewWaveMusicWilder was a key part of the band's sound. They have had the same slow, monotonous sound.
We have to disagree on that even though as I said before Wilder played a very improtant part in DM.. Please translate into English so everyone can join and understand the conversation :)
Who do you think will be the next moder to die? I think Dave Gahan will go next.
I got no idea and I hope he and the rest of the band have a healthy productive life for years to come :)
Dude 🤧, Gahan will outlive everyone😲 , maybe even you and me !😉 🤫
What a bizarre post.
@@BlissBooa real DM fan would never say such a thing. The domain of trolls.
I hope NONE of them. they should live forever lol
