I know there are girls out there that really need hugs and headpats like Miyu, Tsukuyo, Hiyori (basically all of Arius Squad, really). But I feel, out of all the characters in Blue Archive, the one that needs and deserves affection the most is Misaki. Not even biased. I just really want her to be happy.
I've tuned into this song few months back not knowing blue archive. I recently started playing this game and currently just finished chapter 2 of foreclosure task force story. Tuning back to this song kinda feels different (though I'm not sure if I've heard of this track yet in the game, at least i got the grasps of the world and stories)
Yeah this character absolutely NAILS what it's like to have depression... from the bridge scene made all casual like, to pessimistic talk everywhere... Misaki, our beloved. Oh and I also know a thing or two about depression, so my personal experience is talking here. The BA devs got it right. In dialogue, final music choice, character design (notice where her bandages are placed...), etc etc.
Best bgm for me. As soon as I heard this I had to get Sario. It was go for broke on this and now I can listen to it and wish you could change the bgm to all the menu screens.
This isn't jazz, it's lo-fi. If you want rainy day jazz, I suggest the track Beneath the Mask (specifically the version that plays during rainy days) from Persona 5's soundtrack. That and Alkaline Tears are my favorite game tracks to listen to when driving on rainy days irl.
02/14/2023 This was the first media of Blue Archive I saw several months ago. This OST got me to play my first gacha game and actually like a game in a while, despite being a loud hater of gacha games beforehand. Before I even downloaded the game I told myself that I would stop playing once I had unlocked Misaki's L2D. Well now I finally have it, guess its a goodbye. To be honest, I don't really want to quit this game; but I've found a purpose in life that I want to commit to 100%. And if it means sacrificing some fun, then I'm happy to go right at it. Misaki is a nihilist, which was my outlook of life until I found my purpose. I guess I still am one though because life is ultimately meaningless (vanitas vanitatum, as the game quotes). But maybe that's a good thing. No one cares about the mistakes I or you have made because we are all so busy trying to make the most of life. If people do care, whether its in the form of hate or love, then that's amazing as they're taking precious time out of the fleeting life to put focus on my life or your life! And maybe I don't care, because I'm gonna die whether I like it or not and no one will remember me afterwards, never mind the mistakes I made. Its kinda liberating in a way that life is meaningless, because then I can make my own meaning of life and not worry if its correct or not because we're all gonna die some day. I guess its kinda paradoxical in a way, but I'd rather have a paradox than a one depressing truth. My generation is known for being a so called purposeless generation, nihilism is at an all time high; but as a goddamn lucky person who believes they have a so called 'purpose': I've got to make the most of this blessing. For those who wander life without meaning. For Misaki. I know Blue Archive's community is notoriously self-deprecating, humorously or not, but I just want to get this off of my chest. So whether you took this with a laugh, or took this to heart. I hope you live.
While it does sound calm, yes... I can feel the uneasiness in this soundtrack alone. As if it's where you felt so calm, before the storm comes hard... Either that, or when you reached the lowest moment of your life, which is what (unfortunately) Misaki felt.
That's actually an extremely excrutiating and painful way to take your life, she has the right idea sticking to the tried and true bridge (actually wait no don't kill yourself misaki you're too sexy to die)
