Great video! I do the same spreadsheet at the end of the every month because I tithe 10 percent of all my income. I only have between 30-50 sales a month it’s just easier for me to just sit down and do it at once. Anyway every reseller definitely should know how much money he spent and made on every sale.
You go girl! My only suggestion is to put your table up on some of those College Dorm Bed Risers to save your back - proper height is a game changer for me - realized it when I got a taller washer/dryer & folding laundry is so much more fun now! 😄

Just this past weekend I donated back all of my stock. Over 400 items. I just don't have the room for it all anymore unfortunately. I did keep about 7 smaller items that have the potential t sell for $80+. I've been doing this for just under a year and I feel like I have learned a lot in terms of what I can find locally and what sells fast and for good money. I am going to focus on sourcing those quick selling higher profit items and hope I do just as well. Feels bad though, saying bye to all that hard work... sourcing, lugging home and up stairs, researching, photographing, listing etc.
But I'm still in it, not giving up!
I started last February. like you I have fine tuned my sourcing. videos from ppl like Ashley help so much! it must feel freeing to "dump" the anchors and start over. good luck!

Hi - could you please do a current video on shipping: 1) calculated shipping (including differences with first class up to 16 oz), 2) flat rate shipping (if EBay branded boxes are mandatory and where to get them), and when you are not protected by EBay if you ship on your own(?); also 3) when shipping included in price, and what is your preferred way? I have been watching a lot of videos on eBay shipping. Haven’t sold anything on eBay in over 10 years, and I have analysis paralysis and anxiety. 😥 Greatly appreciate any help. ♥️

Love your videos! I hope you don’t mind if I pass along a tip? You could save $3 - $4 per item on shipping those items that won’t fit into a Padded flat rate envelope. If the item fits into a poly mailer (measuring about the same as the tyvek envelopes) shipping is typically less than $9.00 via Pirate Ship.

I actually input my items into my spreadsheet when I buy them! Then I can put in cost per item, date purchased, etc. When it sells, I input the rest of the info (sold amt, shipping, date sold, etc). This was just too much to cram into the video 😂😂❤️

Hi Ashley. Thank you for all your help. I really like learning from you as I am a newbie seller. Question: what amount do you show for shipping when you list the item? I have been doing the opposite of weighing item prior to listing to know if I am going to go 1st Class or Priority.
I do the same as well. This way, when they sell, I can get them out promptly. Rather do the work on the front end of the process. But that's just me!
Hi Ashley great video, the only possible mistake that I saw was at 4:25 when you shipped at item priority mail that was too oversized for a padded flat rate envelop and paid $12.71 for a10" x 9" x 3" envelop/box. Did you try a Priority Mail Regional Box A2? If it would fit I think it would have shipped for less.
So I didn’t actually purchase a label in that instance - I was just demonstrating how to do it! I actually got the label on pirateship.com - I should have shown that but didn’t want to be overly confusing! 😂❤️
What is the SKU? Is that the inventory bin that you set up?
Slightly confused....do you not weigh and/or measure before listing in order to do calculated shipping? How else would you know what shipping price cost to put into the listing?
Or are you simply offering the same amount/flat rate shipping to buyers and not doing calculated shipping? How else would you know what to put into the listing for calculated shipping amount when you list and for buyers - how much they will be paying for shipping if you do it after it’s already sold?
So I don’t do calculated shipping. I have found it often overcharges buyers, and that can turn them off. I just offer a flat shipping fee based on what I know about the item. I can almost always tell by sight whether an item will be first class, priority flat rate, or priority. I then charge shipping based on that! 🙏🏻

Yes, things move pretty well during the holidays! My focus is usually on amazon during the holidays though. Poor eBay gets neglected!

Thank you for your tutorials and encouragement! I like your shipping/spreadsheet method and may try that. How do you remember your cost? I always log my purchases in a notebook and would have to reference that notebook to remember, then again I’m older (lol)!
I do it the opposite way. When I'm listing I put my cost, reference #, where I bought item. Then photograph and put item away with ref. #. Then when It's sold I put how much I sold for, where I sold it whether it was in a sale, fees, shipping if I paid, then profit before tax. I too would not remember otherwise.

Hi, nice video and a great day of sales for you. Your label machine makes it go really fast. I still use paper shipping labels and tape them on, but I only have a few items per day so it's not a big deal. I notice that it looks like you don't print packing slips for your items. Is there a reason that you don't include those?

Hustle at Home Mom I also regularly check Facebook Marketplace for shipping supplies to see if anyone has them locally. But I only meet up for items STRICTLY at local police stations (I'm not taking any chances going to a total strangers location). Otherwise, I ask them for a shipping option.👍

Nope, I only write them off when they sell. When I buy something, before it‘a sold, its technically just an inventory asset.

I’ve never had a problem with my dymo in 4 years! But I think the rollo & Zebra are great options too!
I've used both rollo by far is the best. Way better quality.
buy a zebra 2844 used on ebay! they are the workhorses that ups uses! I've bought two for under $50. they are both chugging along daily.
When I purchased a label printer about 6 months ago I chose the Dymo. I had absolutely nothing but problems from the very beginning. After a couple months of dealing with it I decided to get the Rollo and I have not had one problem with it. I love it!

I always do a look back on eBay fees and enter afterwards in my spreadsheet. Do you set up your spreadsheet to calculate the eBay and PayPal fees? I sell different items so the fees are always different. How do you figure that out ahead of time. Am I making sense?

When I see people showing that they paid 10 cents for an item that they sold for $22 I'm ready to just move out of this overpriced, overtaxed state of Connecticut with nearly the highest cost of living in the whole country and just move out west. I looked at your Ebay store but noticed that you are not selling much at all on there. Are these all sales from a private store? I don't blame you if so, people have targeted my store viciously in the past.

Sometimes you can find 'fill a bag' for $1 at yard sales or thrift stores, so then the cost would only be pennies.

Gov't doesnt have the right to spy on your internet activity unless they suspect your a terrorist loll.. but im sure that will change soon , they already passed a law having to pay state taxes on interwebs buys , thats crazy cuz now they a foot in the door on your privacy.
