I feel like this band with time will become something great, they clearly have the potential and the motivation to keep their music going, and although a lot of people are giving them hate because they don't like how she sings or for whatever reasons they have, I believe they'll progress with time, and in the end, I think this will be one of those indie bands that aren't for everyone.
Great band. Incredibly interesting stage look and raw performance. The sound was a bit rough at the start but really recovered quickly. I appreciate the difficulty of live performance and I think audience at the show here sincerely loved this Pale Waves show. Intensely beautiful.
I honestly don't think she's singing that way because she's nervous. It's probably just the style she's going for. Kinda like a female version of Robert Smith.
Let me just drop this here for all the people commenting on her vocals. It doesn’t matter how long they may have been on tour or how nervous she was or not. So many things can go wrong in a live performance, especially during a live broadcast of an award show. For her to be so out of key here it sounds to me like she could not hear her vocal monitor properly. Either something went wrong and it couldn’t be fixed or it was too low in the stage mix and it threw her off, or something. Maybe if it was a fixable issue, experience would have told her point to her ear piece or something to clue somebody in, but it is what it is. I hear her do an acoustic rendition of this song elsewhere and she was on key.
Sorry but if you’ve been on tour for the best part of a year and performed as much as they have, you should be able to sing your own songs properly. Being young means nothing in this. There are plenty of younger more talented singers. She just can’t sing in tune, it’s really that simple.
If you dont like her, why dont you go and listen other song/band bro? I think we are humans and we cant do everything perfect everytime. More if your instrument is your voice, and more if you are nervous. She has lots of live videos where she sounds great. Is a very young band, i think is okay to them to have mistakes at this point of their careers.
They seriously programmed quirks into search's and sales pitchs even possible raising gas prices at key times in my life.....why because I am better then them they gave themselves to my design and moved forward like robots.....or beast...........not to make myself feel better I'm a lost casue I hate humanity and what I gave the world is so beautiful.....and they killed the women who gave me life into this world just to prove praying was for nothing....it's not satanic it's lame while there hands on my head while I swing my hand from childhood is on theirs as they swing......but yeah they rule you....all that time and money and they come and influence and obesse over homeless.... seriously gas and a match man free up your lives........

nerves really affect your voice!! They're a super young band who are gaining fame quickly. They'll get there at their own pace.
