Nothing mini about the maestro mini… proud user of one. What you described is on point! The bass tremors can be literally felt in the middle of your skull down to your shoulders
The naming convention here makes zero sense to me.
Shouldn't the maestro mini be called maestro dulce bass or something in the lines of this?
Just ordered mine as well. Very excited. This will be for hip hop EDM and Afrobeat. OG Monarch for everything else
@@Weareonenation303 They have a Maestro SE with more drivers and EST's. but costs 2X more.
Your outro is one of the few I can genuinely say I look forward to each and every time I watch one of your videos. It’s always very gratifying lol
My favorite bass-y IEM is definitely the IKKO OH10. I'm no bass head, but I remember the first time hearing this and shocked about how technical it was despite the amount of rumble. Definitely an oldie but goodie in my book.
The Sony IER-Z1R is my favorite, with a caveat. It's like a toxic ex. It's so good every time when you go back to it, but inevitably starts hurting after a while. Meanwhile, the Timeless and the OH10 are steady Eddies. You can chill with them for extended periods of time without any pain.
I love my Kato as a "fun" pair of IEMs. Initially picked them up to compliment my HD600 for times when I need more sound isolation. The only thing I think it lacks in is sub bass, otherwise it's a great all-rounder IEM, in my opinion.
My absolute favourite bassy IEM is my iKKo OH10, LOVE THE HUGE SOUNDSTAGE TOO
Great, great review!! For the moment, my favorite iem for good bass is the Tripowin HBB Mele! That is the one that matches my taste for music and my library very well. If I want to hear something with a wider sound stage, more airy, I go to the Aria. For more more fun I go to the CCA CRA.
Nice quick format helps alot in this jungle!
I just heard the FatFreq Maistro Mini V2 at the Can Jam So Cal on Sunday. They were amazing! I had my 19-year old son with me and we both listened to them. We listened to “No Quarter” by Led Zeppelin and it was probably the best I have ever heard that song on IEMs. The mids and highs were beautiful, especially during the middle interlude. Then when John Paul Jones’ bass lines start coming in softly, you just felt it. Then … THEN … John Bonham kicked in with his snare drum and kit and the fullness of sound was just amazing. I don’t think the V2 are available yet, but they are going to cost $499 and they were selling them for $449 at Can Jam as a Can Jam special. I’ll be getting a pair for sure!
My favorite iem for bass is the Timeless. It’s not the quantity of it but the quality. It’s so fast and punchy when paired with my topping A30 pro.
yeah I love the bass on that, its my favourite also. The biggest disappointment I found was Crinacle's Fiio collab, I found the treble on that to be better than the bass, yet the bass was the selling focal point. HBB's collab with KZ has the biggest slam, just love the bass on that but but quality of the bass on the Timeless, yep thats the best for me too.
It's the fast decay of the bass. It's so satisfying. It's like the rubber in a bouncy ball. You push on it and it snaps back instantly. Bass on DDs is much muddier. It's because of how long it takes the driver to travel back into position between big bass notes. Planar bass is king. The Timeless is the future of IEMs. All the best ones are going to either be full planar or have a planar driver in them going forward.
125% agree! Not just the amount but the quality and a lots of detail it can produce!
Only tried the FiiO F3 and the BQEYZ KC2 as far as IEMs, go, but my favorite for bass is the KC2's. One of those "quality over quantity" bass tunings. Plenty of energy when listening to rock, and clean midbass perfect for vocals.
The F3 was really good too for my first IEM. Clean U-shaped tuning and a LOT of bass.
Great video giz. I have ordered the Mele before you made this video :) It seemed unmatched at that price, just had to try! Seems like just my thing, we will see!
Great to see new boutique brands like fatfreq champ the old boys. Kudos!
My current favourite is truthear zero as it not only has the bass but clean and detailed mids while being pretty nice to look at
great video as ever....which one is better overall, timeless or variations?
My favourite bass iem is the TRN TA1. It doesnt have a lot of subbass but the midbass is quite good.
I bought moondrop Aria bcoz of you . And I love it.
My only bassy IEM is the CCA CRA, but I’ve been loving my EQ’d Blessing2 (non-dusk), just added a bass shelf and it’s thumping 😈.
I really love tanchjim oxygen, especially the design, and tuning
I've auditioned the Z1R once in a store. It's the cleanest bassy IEM I've listened to with enough details to rivall other endgames.
ive been saying that for months
as for bass specifically i like ie900s bass
my favorite iem for bass for now is the Aria SE, just amazing midbass
I personally find the bass from Timeless to be incredible. Just amazing!
I only own two IEMs now which are the Olina and Kato. My current favourite is definitely the Kato with spring tips and silver nozzle
Great video!
I'm looking for basshead set under 50$,
I'm confused between Castor bass, Rosefinch, Juzear Clear, and KZ ESX.
Which one do you suggest?
(considering bass quality and quantity, subbass rumble, clarity in mids, vocals/tonality)
Hi Timmy, I just got the OH1. Is it comparable to the OH10? Or is it a different by a long shot
Great video, super helpful ordering heads. Say: How do the A3T’s stack up with your list. Talking the 64audio IEM’s, super clean.
With the timeless do you need a dungle dac or the dungle from apple is ok?
I do like the tfz t2, for the price to enjoyment ratio - i love it.
Considering Tangzu Zetian Wu having the FR graph nearly same as that of Ikko OH10, would you recommend it for a basshead?
Favorite bassy iem for me - Unique Melody MEXT without doubt! This organic subbas, fast and punchy midbass OMG this is crazy good. Seal is crucial. No seal no fun at all. Azla tips fit the best.
Ikko OH10 are definitely my go to daily Bass Heavy IEMS
My favourite bassy iem is the BQEYZ Spring 2, run through a Qudelix 5k with a 12db boost (!) for the sub bass. This iem can handle it and it sounds awesome. Especially for rock. For techno/electronic, no bass elevation required.
I have Fiio FHE as well, and it just doesn't come even close to the Spring 2's bass performance. Have the Aria as well, nah... no comparison. Have the 7hz Timeless as well, lovely treble, but the bass doesn't sound full enough. Almost "horn like".
Might be an unpopular choice but I love the Campfire Dorado if I want some more oomph in my music. Electronic / EDM / Synth are amazing on it. I snagged it on sale and don't regret it.
LOL the amount of bass for the maestro mini is just incredible... just placed an order
For d&n, trance and cloud rap which one is the best iem for that genre music?? (I already had the melee but I lost them and i want something similar but different brand, similar price too :p) Thank for the nice review!!
Great video Timmy I would to see the same thing but for treble!! 😋😋
Is worth fhe eclipse or should buy truthear zero (blue) for the price?
Love the truthear crin zeros got them as my first pair iems and theyre amazing
Love Fatfreq IEMS!! Best in the market!
The best Basshead iem i heard so far is VE BIE it's cheap yet this thing SLAM! planning to try truthear zero soon🤩
For drums, do you prefer Variations, Monarch Thieaudio, J&H audio or Fat freq what?
Always love your reviews. May be Aria for me.
My current favorite bassy iems are the Korea-exclusive new atrio(=g9 pro) and Monarch mk1. The original developer of the atrio series has been releasing new sub-bass monsters recenly. It is a pity that those brand-new gems are not being exported overseas...
Owning both the OH10 and HBB's Kinda Lava, you definitely get what you pay for. IMO, the Kinda Lava is in another league when it comes to quality sub- and mid-bass, not to mention the detail retrieval across the spectrum and imaging. That being said, I haven't heard HBB's Mahina, which have an even higher bass shelf and are worth checking out. Either way, I like HBB's taste when it comes to pushing the bass elevation to 300Hz, rather than 200, like Crin.
Off topic question here, how does one clean a white/silver braided cable.(wore the Kato while wiper snipping an now the cable has a green hue to it)
Tried soap an water on a cloth, didnt do much an didn't wanna soke it in water as don't know if it's bad for the cable.
Can you spray 9 emm or bleach. Should I tape the ends so water doesn't touch metal. My bad ranting it just seems like a stupid question
Where can you buy the fatfreq?
A site is in Singapore is quoting 600 us.
Is that right?
Although I don't own it, my personal favorite bass iem is Sony IER-Z1R. I think it has enough bass to satisfy many bass heads and it has amazing imaging capabilities.
I think my favorite bassy IEM is Mele. So much fun listening to EDM and rock with it. But man, I would love to try Variations!
My favorite iem for bass is the Blon BL03 e Tin T3 Plus.
I love the bass on my Kato. I’m thinking about getting the B2 Dusk next. Waiting patiently for the new group of planers to come out before choosing my next IEM.
🔥OH10’s and Variations 🔥😋
which one of these have the widest soundstage?
So what about s12? i thought it has same or even more bass then the timeless
Fiio Fh3 is my favourite iem! Keep up the good work!
Hey Good to know, about to receive FHE soon, hope it's good as it's claimed to be :)
@@therealabdirahman People say it's actually better than the FH3, hope u enjoy it!
Don't have any of the IEM mentioned, but will love to try Truthears Zero & Moondrop variations
Off the topic, Could you please review final audio a series especially A4000. I heard their sound stage is comparative to open back headphones
Thinking about picking up the Audiosense AQ4 for bass head pleasure. FR looks pretty good but there aren’t too many reviews out there.
Two words: Legend EVO.
The imr R2 Aten does the Rumble for me. When you think you hit the bottom, it goes still deeper.
My number bass iem that I have listened to has to be the Moondrop Aria, that sub bass is amazing.
I only had the opportunity to try the Aria, Mele and ZS10 Pro. The Aria felt better overall.
Looking forward to get a Kato.
Love my Ikko OH10. IMR Dark Matter
My katos don't have that much bass...what should I do
My fav bassy iem would be the blessing 2 dusk since it's the only iem that I have that really have that punch to it.
Will the fatfreq go good with 90s hip hop?
Hi! thanks for this video. But why didn't you talk about KZ ZAS?!
They are super bass number 2, after Fatfreq Maestro Mini
My old bass favourite: Sony XBA N1AP!
The best one I own is the Truthear x Crinacle, because it's in my price range but I think it's totally worth it.
I'm still loving the Campfire Atlas for bass but for super clean sub bass and bass it has to be my Empire Ears Odin.
Subtonic Storm is the Mistery IEM?
From my limited experience, the Timeless is my favorite bassy iem
don't own many iems, but my favorite iem for bass is the Truthears Zero. currently saving to try the s12....
ive been digging the bass on the moondrop kato
It’s crazy how they packed so much sub bass for maestro mini. Can’t wait for mine to arrive in the mail!
@@nellatl Worth every penny if you’re a basshead like me. There’s really nothing on the market i can compare this to!
My favorite iem for bass from the iems I've tried is dunu titan s. I like the bass speed of it though I wish if it had more sub bass.
My best affordable IEM for bassheads is TFZ No. 3
My preference would be the Shuoer S12 or Yanyin Canon with bass switch on. Beats out pretty much everything I have heard around their price range.
My favorite iem for bass ikko oh10
My favourite basshead IEM is Campfire Vega 2020. I can't imagine better basshead IEM. I have Mele, and had FHE before. They are nothing. With the Vega you feel the bass in your throat I love it :D Other good choise is Thor Mjölnir MK2.
I like the variations
Have you tried the Symphonium Helios yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them, currently deciding among them, the Monarch MKII and the MEST MKII as my first kilobuck IEM
Woah, I am deciding exactly among there three and also Elysian Diva. I want an all around IEM with an engaging sound too.
I have the Moondrop Blessing 2 but eq it +8db at 60hz and about +6 at 160hz to get my preference (living in germany not able to get the Dusk) and am currently torn between the Moondrop Variations and Sennheiser IE600 for listening mainly to EDM/Meldoci Techno and for music production purposes.
I have half of the iems from this video. You forgot to mention the Focus EDM, these are true basshead iems. Interested in Mysterious Bass Canon. Bass S12 is better than Timeless?
My current fav right now is the KATO, its suits my taste on my type of music :>
My fav bass reproduction in a iem is the ej07m kl
There is a one manufacturer who focusing on bass - IMR Acoustics (also using bone conduction motors for bass area). We highly appreciate if you can make some reviews on their production.
One of my favorite iems at the moment is going to be my aria snow edition due to alot of J/K-pop in my playlists.
My favorite for bass is the CCA CRA. Haven’t tried many iems tho and would love a much higher quality set
Yeah I've watched like a 100 videos and the consensus seem to still feel the CRA is the best in the budget IEMs. EVEN BETTER than some newer $50+ models. I'm waiting on mine ($10) and the Rosefinch ($16) to see which I prefer and take it from there. Got a few back up plans. And after all that I have a list a mile long to pick a more neutral set n case I ever get sick of the bass. Doubtful but doesn't hurt. Lol
I've only tried cheap iems and the zsn is my go to if it is bass I'm craving.
I didn’t use a lot of IEMs. But so far Moondrop Aria is awesome in bass response.
I own the 7hz Timeless and I have heard a few of the supposed 'best' IEMs for bass, but there is an important omission from this list. The 64 Audio Nio. It is not only amazing for bass but it is also super clean, tight and controlled. It is also tuneable via the APEX modules for more or less bass. So even if you are not looking for bass cannons, these are one of the best IEMs in the world at any price. I prefer them (very slightly) over the U12t.
The only IEM that's allowed me to actually feel and not only hear the bass didn't make your list.
The Raptgo Hook X which IMHO beats the Timeless across the board including not only bass but stage, tonality, mids, highs, details and clarity. It should definitely have a spot on this list. I own a lot of IEMs now and not all cheap sets, I find myself reaching for the Hook X more than any other set I own...
Okay after watching the video I'll say my fav is BQEYZ Autumn/bass. My modded Olina, s12 and Timeless are there. I'd love to try OH10 though.
The Maestro Mini is super interesting, I've never seen an IEM with a gianormous sub bass shelf like that.
Why must side questy IEMs like this get in the way of achieving that end goal IEM I so desire?
I like the word Crin used when he tried the Maestro Mini for the first time
*HEDONISTIC*
You guys should try the full maestro series from them. Real good stuff, mini is just the tip of it
Surprised there wasn't any mention of Sennheiser's stuff. Thought for sure the IE 600 would be in the v-shape section of the vid
For bass, you can't go wrong with the Timeless or the S12 with a bass boost.
Planar bass is something else, the precision and quality you can get out of it is almost magical.
Tangzu Audio's Zetian Wu"" Planar IEM has way better bass that any of them. Just got it 2 weeks ago.
@@S85B50Engine Mine is perfectly fine. My S12 however both shells opened up but i fixed them with super glue
O 7Hz Timeless tem um bass muito fraco , nada punch , não chega aos pés do Sony XBA-Z5. Já tive os dois .
@@coreyfreeman6226hey ive been deciding between s12, the timeless, and wu heyday. i like a warm sub bassy tone so i was looking into the wu because i heard the s12 is harsh. i do also feel like ill feel like i missed out on the s12 for the wider soundstage, but am curious if its even much of a difference, since im not sure if reviewers think its a much higher soundstage because of the higher freqencies (in music production, higher freqs are more stereo spread). i also like tuning my earphones to my taste so im interested in planar but worried if planar bass wont be satisfying to me but i think itll be okay. i also mix music and produce so i do also want good instrument seperation in the mids, and not much mud
can't afford the Z1R, but from demo definitely king of bass.
i just orderet the raptgo hook-x HBB version hoping for some bass but still good seperation
My favorite would be the Kato, but I also haven't tried many iems yet
It's got to be the Moondrop Variations - THE IEM that showed me the difference between sub bass and mid bass, and introduced me to a whole new chapter in my 'bass education'
