Can you buy a second hand fitbit iconic then go through the claim procedure?? Even if the Fitbit has already been recalled?
Already took up to the recall offer. I bought the Fitbit Sense, 3 free bands, and the free 1-yr Premium subscription. The cost was $191.93, but with the $299 refund, the watch is basically free. I'm a happy camper.
That was a quick turnaround. The website states refunds are disbursed between 3-6 weeks. In the website the price for the sense is $299.
Don't count your money that quick
I have one, a year and a bit old, never had a problem but i have filled out all the things on their site and they will be issuing me a refund, actually more than what i paid for it new, literally as soon as you submit the form the ionic still works on the wrist but you can not link it up again, basically fitbit must deactivate it their end.
Did you have to send the old one back?

Does anyone know if you have to include the wrist band with the return or just the device?
Just the device itself. No band, no charger, no accessories whatsoever. Which is good for me because I lost my charger lol
They sent a box UPS and you put the watch only in a special envelop and put it in a return box that's part of the packet. Hardest part about that was taking it to a UPS station. Haven't found a way to check on the refund status. No way to contact them after you finish the process. Still waiting on the refund for the extended warranty. They said I would receive a check for that in 10 days. Still waiting.
It's impossible to get the refund, I've been trying for days.... Keeps claiming reference not working, has anyone else had this issue, it seems common. Ps based in UK

I did the recall, they sent me official return packaging and everything. But I was never paid. Its been a long time since I sent it back to them. Wondering now if I was scammed.
I received the redemption code & registered by setting up an account but it says that I have no cards. Any Advice?
@@michellegates7871 So they are very behind apparently. I got an email from them 5 days ago saying they reviewed my device and it was verified to be an affected one. So they will issue a refund withing the next 10 business days.
We have to just be patient I guess.

FYI: I finally got my refund deposited directly into my PayPal (as requested). They take a lot of time to get it done, just be patient.
Looks like this is a scam. I have been waiting for months for the refund. They say that they send the refund to PayPal but nothing. I have called about 6 times and nothing. The call centre gives the same answer of they will look into it.

I sent the watch on: 3/29.
They received on 04/05.
I Got an email on 04/27 that Refund will be processed.
I got the refund on 05/04 via email.
Summary: About 1 month after they receive the fitbit.
@@CodeDreamer68 Well, I only heard about the recall on March of this year, so I do not know how it worked by the time you apply. You should have a reference number for your case, if so you should call them and ask.
I believe what happened is like the rebates we used to have in the past, if you don't claim and follow up the case. They will just not send the refund because they assume you forgot. I did call them once regarding my case.
@@smada5538 In the refund update, e-mail did it say that the refund would be processed within 10 business days? If so how accurate was that estimate?
@@andrewstewart6172 I received the email on Apr 27 that they received my fitbit and started the refund process. I got my electronic gift card on May 4. Dates might vary depending on the way you requested your refund, mine was not thru PayPal so I assume PayPal might be faster.
Fit bit recall having issues. Call centers non responsive, 5 business days not realistic 1.7 million watches at 299.00 each hefty number $540 million plus recall costs ....lucky Google owns them...deep pockets
