Does it have applause sound and what is it if it's included? My roland Go! Keys 3 has a applause sound that actually sounds like a real game show audience. I wonder if Korg's applause sound is just applause or has crowd cheering.
Hey Bro , I Finally Made It To The Korg-EK50 , The Sound Is Awesome 👏 You Taught Me More In This Video Than The Manual I’ve Had For 10 Months. You Are An Awesome Teacher Jermey ! Mad Love And Respect My Brother 💚
Go Korg! My only gripe with the layout is octave shift. Octave shift shouldn’t be used with the Shift key. The Transpose/Octave should be reversed. If you’re playing piano having to press Shift prior to Octave will be a problem. If I didn’t already have the Korg MicroArranger, I’d pick one of these up. Looking forward to your full review.
I'm sold on it for sure after this demo, and all the features you listed. Great buy, less than half price of a BK5 and pretty damn near the sound quality. The cheap exterior looks I can live with, considering the sounds and functions it has over a psr e463 or psr ew 410
I'm hoping that some of these sounds can compete with the Yamaha SA1/2. and Roland supernatural sounds. Good starter review. I've always liked Korgs arrangers. Thanks Jeremy for this appetizer,Im hungry for more!
Hi Jeremy now I know why you were so eager to sell your PSR E463... think you should have kept it, though, because it is really great for teaching and learning the basics of keyboard playing, it has nic sounds and is easy to use. As for this Korg, I love the ergonomics. It is great to have the iconic Korg joystick on an entry-level arranger. I also love the lighted buttons - it helps seeing which functions are switched on or off. The Line Out sockets are also very convenient. This keyboard is missing some basic functions, though, esp. the arpeggiator 😢😢😢 it is also a pity it doesn’t have a rhythm editor. I went to the city with the idea of coming back with a PSR E 463 and instead, tried a Casio CT-X3000 and I liked it so much that I decided to order one to be able to try it out quietly at home, it is due to arrive later this week 😎😎😎🎹🎼 I am dreaming of the perfect entry-level arranger: the functionalities and sound engine of the Casio CT-X5000, the ergonomics of the Korg EX50 with its joystick and big screen, the live Knobs and USB audio digital interface of the PSR E463. Wait and see... Will you do your own demo of the EX50? Can’t wait 😊
Yes, I read about your CTX adventures on psrtutorial.com. You will have lots of fun with it once you get used to the frustrating interface. I have ordered a set of EX-50. They have been hiding a demo unit for a few weeks in their shop. They can only officially release the unit to me in mid October. My channel is too small 😭
Love your tutorials. They are very helpful. Would it be possible to show how I import different rhythms onto the EK50 ? Also, where do I get them from? I need some marching band tempos. I hope you can help. Incidentally, my wife and I just got back from Singapore! Loved the place; especially Garden by The Bay..
Hi Jeremy. Love your videos and find them very helpful. Is there a video on the Korg EK50 showing how to use the multi track recording and editing? If not, could you posibly cover this at some time.
I might buy this one one day I love it. And the headphone jack looks like it will accommodate the standard size without using a 1/4 in adapter. Very incredible 😎😉😉😁
I love this keyboard! I am in duo playing 80's music such as OMD, Erasure and such like. We can load it up with midi files and off we go! No need for drum machines and sequencers. Fantastic!
The cable hook prevents accidental power cord getting unplugged too. I have an X-50 which also has that. Such a stupidly ez2 implement feature that should be on all lightweight synth keyboards/modules
Thank You. First day and lots of fun; however, beware the lousy music stand is a wire frame and there is no way any book light can be attached. Will be building a piece of pexiglass to solidify the frame. So if you play out, and need a light for music - beware. Other than that, it is amazing.
Hi Jeremy See , I just got the KORG EK-50 , I live in USA, could you explain how to install the new style. Or maybe you have the clip already... Thank you Happy New Year 2021
Hi Jeremy... do you always have to press the “fill” to change into another variation? if not... how will the transition sound? I had an old PSR where it didn’t have that “fill” button for transition. Thanks in advance for your response my brother!
But you still didn’t explain how do I record a song on the keyboard??? I can’t find it anywhere. Why doesn’t the record button do anything when I press on it??
A question for the ek 50. If I hold down one key, and play other keys at the same time, is there anyway to make the initial key sound not be heard until any other keys that I'm playing are released?
Byw, Jeremy nice tutorials, i've been watching all of 'em x4 in a row, its really hard to find something when nothing is Perfect, its always neglicted to 95% ! and manufacturers rush things out...and as u many times said "its a piety that just to insert few buttons to polish the package, coz all syst programming already well-done !" However, i'd understand if one manufacturer like Yamaha does that, while others dont. Unfortunately, it isnt the case coz they all bring back that same mistakes over and over in any models' categories...I fully understand ur frustration about that, and it's same for all of us ;/
Hi Jeremy - thanks for a fantastic channel. You said somewhere that no keyboard can properly emulate the Hammond B3 & Leslie sound. I do agree, but as a church player I am looking for decent organ sounds & especially that rotary speaker sound. Our old Yamaha keyboard has pretty awful organ voices. Are the EK50’s organ sounds ok & can the joystick control the “rotary” speed? Thanks.
Wow. Very well thought layout and key functions! Serious, half pedalling? $488.75 pre-order from City Music.. Hmm... Time for me to add a Korg to my keyboard collection? :) I wonder if I can add a USB controller to the host port to use as the lower register controller for the chords.
I don’t have cello or choice o many strings second day today discovering that keyboard iam a composer singer songwriter I hope I can create my own sound
I still use a korg pa 800 I have had 2 since 2009 one for playing one for spares if only korg included the mic in and fx not bothered about this auto acc programmable Tx. Would suit me best for live
So HOW do you do this? I press style button but nothing happens. "When playing in "Music Mode" (for instance Besame Mucho) is there a way to select a different style set/instrument?"
Suppose if i have a usb with 1000 songs in it.. is this keyboard will allow me to connect that usb and load those mp3 songs.. because i have read somewhere that it will take usb with only 99 mp3 song.. so please give clarification
You can call me crazy. But think this Korg should be lighter, slimmer, fewer buttons in about 34". Lose the mod wheel for a pressure strip. Does Korg have one? Or I just might have to consider the Roland Go Keys. Or make me 49 key model with the mod wheel for playing IOS synths over usb!
thanks for the nice demo. I'm about to buy an EK-50 from your local seller here. but I would like to know if I can load music set as professional arranger as at 800,700, I know this is not an oriental keyboard, but if one can at least have quarter tones here?
Watching this again at 5:AM. This keyboard has about half of the features the 76 key Casio Wk-7600 had with its separate Mic and guitar inputs, 17 editing sequencer, organ sliders that control other real time performance voicings, arpageator, ECT. I think Korg maybe needs to try again. I would have choosen the WK-7600 over the PSR We410, Casio Ctx 5000(deal breaker no battery), and the Korg Ek 50 if it had a sampler.
Hi Steph , I don't think Casio meets the sound quality as compared to Korg , Roland , Nord , or Yamaha. I've owned all brands of keyboards since 1986 . I currently have a Roland E09 IN (Indian Edition) and a Yamaha dgx 230.
I only have one simple Yes/No question: Can the Arranger part of the performance be output or saved in some way to midi? I'm looking frantically for pretty much any kind of these "Auto-Accompaniment" instrument which can do that to replace my trusty 30 y/o Roland KR model (which had that feature but is finally on its last breath).
Hi sir. I am from India.I am still unsure which keyboard to buy.please tell me which one is good, Korg EK-50 and Yamaha psr i500. And please let me know whether EK-50 has an option of downloading India styles.
hmm, not sure, there's no Sampling, no MIC (Aux IN coz low frequence), No Audio Interface and No Live Control ([KNOB ASSIGN and Target) as in Yamaha PSR E463 !!! Those main features are missing ! Somehow that pushes me towards that Yamaha...
There's a KORG EK 50 IN sold in India. I'm in the US. The EK 50IN is not available in the US. So, is it possible to download the Indian styles in the EK 50? Lemme know plz. Thanks.
Im stuck between that Korg EK 50, (50L) and PSR-E463...is there some brand that combines +o- those 2 from "elementary features" within a ranging price between 400€ et 600€ ? coz i've been searching for days and weeks, Korg Kross 1 (doesnt exist anymore) instead of Kross 2, then is I3, then in Casio is Privia PX S3000, CT X5000 or X3000, then with Yamaha is E463 and EW410...always small/big models at same price ranging. its either something at 400€ or 800-850€ NEED HELP !
Hey I wonder if u can make a detail review about the Kurtzman K300 one ? I'm a begginer so i really need all reviews about buying a good keyboard for a new beginner
Hi Jeremy. I'm really interested in the EK50. Is the workstation something that I could create an 8 or 16 track recording using different voices, including drum voices without having to resort to DAW?
how can i change tempo on this keyboard, there is only one tempo button and each time i press it it randomly changes the tempo, i cannot go little bit sllow or little bit fast as we used to with wheel on kork pa series. please help me about how to change tempo on korg ek-50?
Hey Jeremy! Please, please, please make a video explaining how to REALLY use the SPLIT button, 'cuz it's been very hard for me to understand how to change the voices. I simply don't understand, and as I can see, I'm not the only one. This keyboard has a Lot of secrets and misteries. I'd ve very thankful if You can help us.
Hey Jer! I know you're serious player, but how about you do something different? You know, like, for shits and giggles? There's Casio's little board SA-46, looks like it's for children, but I heard it packs quite a punch and could well be one of those things that adults buy for kids and end up using themselves. I'd like to know what's your verdict about it :)
I bought 2 EK-50's last year, I love the sound voices
Does it have applause sound and what is it if it's included? My roland Go! Keys 3 has a applause sound that actually sounds like a real game show audience. I wonder if Korg's applause sound is just applause or has crowd cheering.

I decided to buy this keyboard it is definitely my dream keyboard!!!!😃

Agreed.
As usual, a very complete and helpful review. Thank you for creating and posting it.

@John Salmon which is better compared to ctx 3000?

A work around for the mic input is to connect a mini mixer to the audio in, so you can also add in a guitar..
There's no MIDI Does the usb need to go through a preamp or just usb into the computer?
Love your tutorials. They are very helpful. Would it be possible to show how I import different rhythms onto the EK50 ? Also, where do I get them from? I need some marching band tempos. I hope you can help. Incidentally, my wife and I just got back from Singapore! Loved the place; especially Garden by The Bay..
Спасибо за обзор! Купил в 22 году, можно сказать последний! Это лучший инструмент за свои деньги, даже после 4 лет выпуска!
Hi Jeremy. Love your videos and find them very helpful. Is there a video on the Korg EK50 showing how to use the multi track recording and editing? If not, could you posibly cover this at some time.
Im having terrible trouble deciding between this keyboard, the casio ct x3000 or the yamaha psr e473 any help would be appreciated 🙏 👍
I have the same problem,
I have it right now and I go to play It.
I might buy this one one day I love it. And the headphone jack looks like it will accommodate the standard size without using a 1/4 in adapter. Very incredible 😎😉😉😁
Thanks. This video helped to decide this is the keyboard meant for me. Gonna buy it today.
I love this keyboard! I am in duo playing 80's music such as OMD, Erasure and such like. We can load it up with midi files and off we go! No need for drum machines and sequencers. Fantastic!
Happy to know you are guys are having fun!
Sounds fantastic
I think this beats both the Yamaha PSR-E and Casio CT-X
Thanks for atention . What is goot , KORG EK 50 , OUR ,YAMAHA PSR E 463 ? Quality what is the best?
Sir I’m planning to buy will you recommend this Vs.Roland and Yamaha? Thanks

Does the Korg EK50L feature a style creator
Is this arranger keyboard
Can I use it in church with large congregation
How to remove sound of bass gitar or solo in usb use Ek50 keybord.
The cable hook prevents accidental power cord getting unplugged too. I have an X-50 which also has that. Such a stupidly ez2 implement feature that should be on all lightweight synth keyboards/modules
True. Shows that Korg puts thought into their design.
beautiful cool great korg ek 50 nice keyboard..i bought this model...very good video.thank you friend..im watching from Dhaka Bangladesh..
Hii .... Kindly inform two points :
1.Sounds are editable ??
2. is this keyboard supports expansion packs?
Is this keyboard ok for 80s rock music one man band such as Bon Jovi? I'm using psr-E353 and it's great there.
Thank you Happy New Year 2021
Excellent jump starter....thanks.
Hi Jeremy... do you always have to press the “fill” to change into another variation? if not... how will the transition sound? I had an old PSR where it didn’t have that “fill” button for transition. Thanks in advance for your response my brother!
Hye sir,can i plug in mpk mini akai to korg ek50.is it possible sir
But you still didn’t explain how do I record a song on the keyboard??? I can’t find it anywhere. Why doesn’t the record button do anything when I press on it??
How do I download the Indian styles and from where? Please explain.
are you sure Jeremy that the effects can by apply to the accompaniment?
A question for the ek 50. If I hold down one key, and play other keys at the same time, is there anyway to make the initial key sound not be heard until any other keys that I'm playing are released?

The EK organs are OK. But there are much better organs out there.
a comparison video between this korg and yamaha e463 may be?
This is much much better in my opinion.
Hi Jeremy I wish you would do your tutorials without the music behind so we can focuse

Hi Jeremy. Does KORG EK50 allows 16 Track recording?
What about total time recording of songs?
How good is it with powered mic?
Thank you
Why don't u do any reviews on Roland bk3
You can call me crazy. But think this Korg should be lighter, slimmer, fewer buttons in about 34". Lose the mod wheel for a pressure strip. Does Korg have one? Or I just might have to consider the Roland Go Keys. Or make me 49 key model with the mod wheel for playing IOS synths over usb!

Does this have any arpeggio feature???
So it took 35 years since the SAS-20 for Korg to develop and release an entry level keyboard?
Yes
thank you for reviewing this keyboard. lookslike i'm gonna buy it. Is the style in minute 6:00 from this keyboard?
Hi Jeremias , your videos are so informative and interesting, does Korg EK 50 support styles from Korg PA 300
No, only pa50, liverpool and another i dont remember
Hi there I really love your reviews. Can you loop piano and bass on the keyboard directly on only with connection to PC ?
Watching this again at 5:AM. What piano or keyboard would you recommend that has lessons built in or that you can import? Price is not an issue. Thanks
Correction: according to the manual it does not have half damper function. At 2:58 you say it does...
You are correct.
Hi Jeremy have ??? how I can reduce some reverb voices: is their any button or in the setting on keyboard ,thank you
Hi Jeremy i can't figure how to lower or raise the octave on the upper sections. Can you help
Will you be uploading videos of the korg ek50 ?
And what will be a suitable upgrade from the Yamaha psr e413 ?
Yes
Is there any Software to upload User Songs to the keyboard?
Which kind/brand of usb is compatible with th ek-50? it doesn't read the one i have :/
Very good guidance
Does it have a sequencer/quantize/tracks ability?
This keyboard alone destroys PSR-E and CT-X series.
Hi sir. I am from India.I am still unsure which keyboard to buy.please tell me which one is good, Korg EK-50 and Yamaha psr i500.
And please let me know whether EK-50 has an option of downloading India styles.
Can you adjust the effects on the drums JS?
KORG 50 the winner......Jeremey UR the best.
hmm, not sure, there's no Sampling, no MIC (Aux IN coz low frequence), No Audio Interface and No Live Control ([KNOB ASSIGN and Target) as in Yamaha PSR E463 !!! Those main features are missing ! Somehow that pushes me towards that Yamaha...
is there a way to enable sustain without using a pedal, like a quick access mode?
There's a KORG EK 50 IN sold in India. I'm in the US. The EK 50IN is not available in the US. So, is it possible to download the Indian styles in the EK 50? Lemme know plz. Thanks.
Hi sir Jeremy, is korg ek-50 better than Yamaha psr-a350? Thank you, God bless you...

Jeremy Would it be possible to buy EK - 50 IN Singapore? Thanks.
hi jerremy does the keyboard have style crator ?
Hi Jeremy. I'm really interested in the EK50. Is the workstation something that I could create an 8 or 16 track recording using different voices, including drum voices without having to resort to DAW?
Please help me sir how to bank Battan fourword and backward
F to B how to back word video please sir
How to play accompany like yamaha psi500 in korg
It has a polyphony of 64? How can you use the features with only 64?
Nice preview, 👍😉 only the musique behind should be put at a lower level because it disturb too much your voice.
Hello.
How do you make or load user sounds?
Is that expandable?
how can i change tempo on this keyboard, there is only one tempo button and each time i press it it randomly changes the tempo, i cannot go little bit sllow or little bit fast as we used to with wheel on kork pa series. please help me about how to change tempo on korg ek-50?
I found it on the manual eventually, you have to press and hold the shift button and use the dial to change the tempo :)
Can you playing different voice while playing same style
I have the same problem
can you set the keys to feel like a real piano?
How many media files from USB drive can it read? Only 99 files ?
Hey Jeremy I love the voice, but it says you can split the keyboard. How do I put a piano sound on the and shorn sound on the top an save it. Thanks
How do you record on this keyboard?
I have reviewed the SA almost 2 years back... See if it pops up in a search.
@@JeremySee Indeed it does :) Thanks!
Hi Jeremy
Could please tell me the procedure of playing rhythms through usb ( pen drive) in korg ek 50?
Thanks
Thank you sir
