A masterful performance.. One of the most difficult- if not the most difficult , songs to perform. Especially since it generally uses minimal accompaniment. Kudos to Martina DaSilva !

So Lush Life***
Would love to hear Martina do a version of "ill Wind".
This is and is not the forum to say what said! I'm saying the playing & singing is killin it needs a new song to deliver to the people outside of musicians is what I'm saying all the best I hope somebody outside music likes it too, it's not just for us musicians, that talent deserves more IMO! GRAMMY
Plenty of non musicians dig this, most likely.
A new song jazz song becoming a standard right now would be awesome though.
Wow, that's stunning🔥! May I ask which vocal chain (mic / pre) was used? - Production quality is top-notch, too!
Martina, you voice is beautiful as you.
Re the comment below... "Nice but dated Jazz we need some new songs that people outside of Jazz listen to and love were killin ourself with this repeat playing stuff the public never heard B4 our granny is not even listening". OK.... but who is currently writing songs better than 20th century composers like Strayhorn, Gershwin, or Cole Porter? In the same way, who's composing orchestral music that's better than Mozart and Debussy? Rap certainly doesn't work in a jazz setting, and most other pop is banal pablum produced by suits in office towers. The pitch tweaked singers all sound the same and the soul-less instrumentation is all done on a keyboard synth.. At least Motown, McCartney, Steely Dan etc. songs held some melodic & harmonic interest.
Some lyrics do cross gender very well, this is one. Otherwise, the artistry is superb.
Nice but dated Jazz we need some new songs that people outside of Jazz listen to and love were killin ourself with this repeat playing stuff the public never heard B4 our granny is not even listening & you guys are "KILLIN" I LOVE U so much. Help Jazz sing & play Sing groove take a killin solo on a Sweet R&B song or a Sweet POP song or C&W that's currently being played by current artist Lush Life is a Great SONG but it's ineffective for our country right now, nobody but a hand full of non-working Musicians can vibe with this Beautiful tracking of Lush Life! HELP JAZZ & MUSIC NOW PLEASE! hit that reset button
@Carl Jackson why did ypu use a different channel to comment? Lol. Jazz will never die my friend, it is #1 for so many. Jazz being ineffective, as you say, is a sign of the times and would need a complete paradigm shift in the population at large. Jazz is alive and well.
The emotive vocal performance digs into the corners of this sad song of disillusionment. That bass solo was a crusher, too. The whole thing was a lush (in the better sense of the word) look at low side of life.
