Is it unusual to be discovering the show for the first time as someone older then the age of 18 and immediately becoming a huge fan? Because that's what happened to me this year. It was on the air while I was growing up but I refused to watch it until now
I first was introduced to Steven Universe by a roommate in his mid 20s when i was 26; this roommate actually had only a few wks prior offered me, a complete stranger then, a place to stay with him too, for as long as i needed.
This was in 2016, and i quickly became hooked on the show and watched all the steven bombs with him over the next several yrs :3
And we werent the only adults we knew watchin it; and we watched several shows like it even before he had a kid of his own
Sugar intentionally made SU so it wud be both exactly what many kids wid need and wud be able to connect with; but also the same for many adults, by nvr makin it feel too childish, even in season 1, and showin that they cud, like a few shows before had managed, have a bunch of actual overarchin plots play out even when doin an episodic style show
@@SylviaRustyFae I mean, the show starts off pretty childish but it absolutely escalates as it goes on and adds in more and more and more stuff for adults to relate to, in my opinion

@@SylviaRustyFae Yeah, I've seen a lot of the big R rated horror movies of this decade and I'm not kidding when I say that seeing someone turn into a blob of screaming cats messed me up more then anything in those movies. I disagree with something that looks more disturbing then many R rated horror movies being appropriate for kids just because there's no blood or cursing, ill just say that

I also uploaded wierd videos to yt when I was 10-11 and on the topic of copyright I was the polar opposite of you. In the beginning I didn't even know copyright EXISTED. I was also a huge SU fan back then (still am now lol) and I watched the series on a free website and some episodes were missing like mirror gem. So one day I stayed up "late" bc they would air SU on CN around 9-10 and I recorded mirror gem with my low-budget phone and uploaded the WHOLE A$$ EPISODE TO YT. I remember being shocked that yt took it down. Then I learned my lesson and have been trying to avoid copyright since then
