Noel Davey from Jamaica, the ORIGINAL MT45 CASIO KING player from 1985 who brought the preset "Sleng Teng" to the world. Wayne Smith only helped Noel to find back the preset. First Noel went to King Tubbys laid the riddim to tape & Tubbys voiced Anthony Red Rose who dropped "Under Me Fat Ting" then Wayne Smith suggested he go round to Jammys & you know what he voiced there. Both studios are situated in Waterhouse the same ghetto area in Jamaica. Nuff of those artist up there would NEVER GET voiced by either King Tubbys or Jammys & they had days where many artist would just hang outside the studio waiting to get a chance to voice. If Jammys never call you, you're staying outside. This where many of those guys above would be. On the street hoping. Big Up Angola Lane in Waterhouse. RIP Aunty Mother Lou.

Isn't it the most remarkable thing? Jamaica must have made the most outsized contribution to music relative to land area of any country. I have been into reggae for 20 years, and it is effectively endless. Not only that, but, insofar as I can tell, the remix itself is a Jamaican innovation.
The total land area of Jamaica is 10,830km^2. I live in New Jersey, the fourth smallest state in the US by land area, and it is 22,591km^2. New York State is 141,300km^2. Relative to European countries, it is roughly 1/4 the size of the Netherlands and 4x the size of Luxembourg.
