On an general picture of inabakumori songs (If they are connected to each other) the lyrical self have depression and social anxiety be it from birth or as an result to what she went trough.
The umbrella can mean an person or period of time our character lost and had much emotional value to her, but she wish she had enjoyed it more and truly appreciated it
better when it was on her hand, but she let loose of her umbrella inevitably, being forced to get an new one now that cant in fact protect her from the rain making she still get soaked.
The rain is an result of the depression and anxiety of the character, and symbolize her cry and sadness, (Rainy boots) but her new umbrella cant protect her, it cant help her sorrow, "I would lose it anyways" shows her negativism towards her future, her fear of "drowning" on her own tears would probably mean an suicide or self harm and the act of "Let go her heart" in order to find an sunny place where flowers bloom, would mean her conclusion that letting her life go away would be better than staying wet.
"Its my own fault for leaving the crack in my heart for someone else to fill" altough she is in deep sadness, she still hopes that she will be able to fix her life and emotional issues trough someone and maybe love.

There are a lot of interpertations for this song, and I don't know the actual meaning from Inabakumori themself but here's my personal interpertation of it:
The "Drowning" here is depression, and the rain is the bits of sadness/hopelessness she feels. And the umbrella is the coping mechanism, whether positive or self destructive. Its like about wanting to be oblivious to the horrbile things that are happenning, but it just gets more and more unbearable, clinging on to that nonexistent hope that she can't see, knowing it'll slip one day
But she's just hoping she could let go of all that and be happy for once, without any consequences-
wait, noo that's too hopeful for a vocaloid song.
She hopes she can one day just end it all.
When the music is upbeat and there’s a cute vocaloid Japanese girl singing, you know it’s suicidal 😃

So I've finished listening to this song and Got some meanings and I understand what the song tells ((a little of it))and I'm not sure if I'm right.
So this girl is like having a heavy package of feelings and emotions that she feels inside and the umbrella she holds is her shield to protect herself from bursting from crying, Because the rain would trigger her emotions to be let out once she got wet by it. Like, she's trying to not believe the truth that she's not feeling well so she would just ignore it.
And at the lyrics said that her hands are always wet from holding the umbrella and the fear of letting it go or losing it is like the time where she can't hold into it anymore, the shield (umbrella) she's holding is slowly slipping off her hands and the rain (truth) would pour on her as her breathing would stop which would make her cry. And another thing about is that she mentioned that she wants to let go or release this feelings out but she can't because she might drown and might not survive it. and about the dry blooming flower, it symbolizes like not letting go of the emotions she's having, without the tears/water or rain, the flower will not grow and stay dry or will die.
