for anyone wondering why you cannot stick metal in a toaster, chris is correct on if you stick metal in a toaster it will electrocute you because the voltage will travel through the knife and on your hand then your body sending it into shock and the reason the toaster will explode is because the toaster contains more stuff other than just metal that would explode while a silver wear doesn't
Nick here is a scientific answer for your knife in a toaster question, When you are holding a knife, the knife then has potential energy, and when you drop it, it gains kinetic energy which would give the thermal energy from the hot metal a reaction which would be by exploding. thank you.
