- Steam Trains Galore 8 is finally here! In the next installment of the Steam Trains Galore series, we once again travel around the country to see a wide variety of steam locomotives pulling passenger and recreated freight trains. We will see large steam locomotives like the Pere Marquette 1225 and the Union Pacific 844 as well as smaller locomotives like the Alaska Railroad 152 in Michigan and Shay type logging locomotives in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Brand new intro music recorded by The Mysterious Mr. Shoe is also featured.

I’m Going To Love Union Pacific 844 Mike
I really love the Huckleberry steam trains! I saw 464 back in 2013 and it was super fun to ride onboard. It's unfortunate that 464 is now in a 15 year boiler inspection but at least 152 was recently restored!
The Huckleberry RR is really cool! I hope I'll get a chance to go back there in the not too distant future!
@@CoasterFan2105 to bad 464 didnt like the turns at knotts I would have loved to be running her with our c-19s.
@C.J. Jones I'm aware of that. I just call it the 15 year boiler inspection because they do it every 15 years.

Fun Fact: SP 4449 was fueled with diesel every time it visited LA until 1992, as Taylor Yard didn't have any crude oil to fuel it with.

Your videos are the only videos that my toddler will watch. He wants to wake up to them and fall asleep to them. And all hours in between. A train is not a train to him without steam.

Hopefully by April of 2021, the U.S Sugar Railroad #148 would be open to the public for people to view. Who knows, maybe even there will be excursions. You should check out that locomotive one day!

If UP ever gets 3985 up and going again. My dying wish would be to see 4014, 844, and 3985 triple head through the plains together. The true legendary beasts of steam power.

Another amazing Steam Trains Galore episode, Mike! I'm thinking for Episode 9, if there will be a 9th episode that is, one steam train that would LOVE to see would be Big Boy 4014. He's by far my favorite steam train. I actually got to see him last year myself, though the weather could've been better. Anyway, great to see the REAL Polar Express in a Steam Trains Galore video! Nice shots of the highballing 844! The Skookum #7 is just so interesting for it to be an articulated locomotive, It's probably the smallest articulated tender steam locomotive ever. Bravo to you, Mike! And, like you always say, I'll see you down the line!

It looks like UP cleans up the ACes that they use for dynamic braking on their steam excursions. It's too bad the rest of UPs fleet looks like they haven't been through a train wash in years.
