The lyrics...well I did not care about lyrics, i followed the lyrics of The Doors or Joy Division...they are worth reading, but as while as I am listening to jazz, electro jazz, I learnt that lyrics does a little less matter than music itself...this only time as far as I see in history of Thievery LouLou is in focus...as far as I see reading comments, she has done it: I watched this video while testing a computer battery for six hours....
At 1:20 when she says "Take My Soul..." with THAT look...

What a band! What a song! And what a LouLou! Soo soulfully ethereal!!! Can't stop experiencing it!
I saw this band for the first time a few weeks ago at the Fox Theater in Oakland... I was actually pretty late when I got there, and right as I stepped inside the venue, I heard this song beginning. It beckoned me to the stage immediately. I'll never forget being high as balls grabbing onto a railing and looking over to see Lou Lou swaying and singing like an angel with the beats pounding my brain.
Whoever this woman is, she is beautiful. I just met a girl yesterday who looks exactly like her and this is why i'm here. Stunning

Thievery will always be in my head. I mean damn, when I discover a group that's new to me, I usually play their albums every day all day till they wear out. From then on I only listen to them when the occassion is perfect. But not TC. Eric and Rob, I sincerely appreciate everything you guys have conducted. My life is beautiful now, more than it has ever been. And it all started out with me coming across DJ Kicks at Sam Goody's (for $7 what!!!). Funny how that works out.

About 8 yrs ago, LouLou worked at a coffee shop in my city, she said she was in a band called Thievery Corp,and that she played organ and sang in Farsi. i said i had never heard of them. ;-) I gave her the book Stranger in a Strange Land, and she gave me a magazine called What is Enlightenment. She said she was Persian, i said Persian woman were the most beautiful in the world.

No offense to the boys in the band, but Lou Lou is the best part of anything the Thievery Corporation has done. Sweet Tides is another example. Her voice just makes this all come together so beautifully.
