To come to terms with its past, Japan must formally, openly, and unequivocally apologize to China, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia for occupying and brutal treatment of their people, and the horrifying war crimes that it committed.
China before and after the Opium war were been bullied by the wicked British poisoning the Chinese with their Opium, than the eighth Nations robbed what ever they can and the last Jepon brutally Massacred, raped and robbed. With this constant bullying, God is great the birth of Communist were borne. With Patience, tolerances, and determination China had built what CHINA is today.
85 years has gone not a word of apology or compensation been made. Why needs their apologise now? Continuing to built up China strengths and let the younger generation to decide what is best to do.

终于理解了新加坡为什么能在大国夹缝中如鱼得水了，李显龙的观点确实独到，如果亚洲真能如他所言地进行发展，则幸甚！
I am Malaysian with due respect glad Mr. HL Lee been our neighbour he is a great political leader within our region (like father like son) both we admired till this days.
His presentation speeches was indeed a self explanatory for peace sharing on this regions.
May I correct his view on Russia attack on Ukraine. In fact Russia was quick enough to be awaken. Given an allowance of few more years with the intented Western's war plans in Ukraine we will see a complete down falls of Russia into the western world and China will be completely surrounded by than.
We needs an opposition to have a better check. Just like any parliamentary where the voice is been heard to keep it cautious at all times. Like it not.

熟悉日本媒体的人都知道日本对新闻的控制比中国还厉害，他们的媒体对新闻会严格筛选，而且跟中国不同的事，他们还会假装自己扮演客观公正去报道新闻，中国没日本那么虚伪，老子根本不演，我就是站在自己的立场报道，这点大陆和台湾都是一样的。所以你看日本的新闻明明视角就是扭曲的，还要用中立的立场去报道，非常搞笑。打个比方，一个长相不错的人他故意选了一个很丑的角度去拍他，拍完之后再用很严肃和自省的态度说，我们不能以貌取人，也不能用各自的审美观去定义美丑，反正说的很冠冕堂皇，但你为什么要挑个很丑的角度去拍他呢？不过观众并不知道，观众看完新闻之后只会觉得虽然报道是秉持了客观专业，可他就是丑啊。可中国就不会像日本这样，中国就会故意选个很丑的角度去拍他，然后说你看他长得多丑。所以人家都说日本虚伪。

Yes, china is not a enemy but a rival. A very dangerous rival who can steal your data, copy your design, reproduce and take away all your customers, jail your people, create environmental problem in poorer nations and still benefit from world trade. Are you aware that US stole technology from UK and Germany after WW2? Google for it if you don't believe. Do you know what does USA stands for? Unreliable Snake of America. After losing the war to Afghanistan, she has to leave the country in the middle of the night. US backstabbed her ally, France by stealing the submarine business from her. Step a bit behind to look at it - just like triad society, US has been leader of the world in past 100 years, they possess high scientific technology in many aspects, they benefit from in terms of financial investment and speculation, selling High -tech military weapons and industrial tools but also pay (monitor the world in order with military force, human resources, monetary donations..etc) to other countries, because of that, they enjoy more superiority than others . Now another triad member tried to share their vested interest, they feel a strong sense of threat so they need to knock it off before the threat turns to be fact. China , what they have been doing in South Sea, what they have output China civilisation to developed countries , how they have copied High-tech from developed countries, what they have been sharing benefit with many African countries...etc did make US uncomfortable. The Key is whether you believe China wanted to be the leader or at least, share vested interest of US OR NOT?

意思是，日本要放下二战战败国的心理包袱，改变当前这种低调的姿态，更积极高调的在印太地区安全事务中发挥和经济领导地位相当的作用？

日本最大的问题，就是对历史的不诚实。通过教育美化侵略，参拜靖国神社，无不为这个富有侵略性的国家植入再次发动战争的基因。对日本，亚洲各国要保持足够戒心，尤其在美国影响力不足以牵制日本，或者美国为了自己的利益不惜纵狗咬人的时候，日本极有可能会重新踏上侵略之路。
意思是李总理希望日本增加军事预算开支，加强军事力量。很惊讶李总理会主动谈及别国如此敏感的问题😂

这篇讲话的确符合新加坡利益，但是没有实际意义，因为太圆滑了，听众可以从不同角度解读出不同的意思。。。让我想起周星驰电影喜剧之王里面，张柏芝暴打周星驰之前，那个妈妈桑的表现，她就是这样别理她，别冲动别冲动说了别搞事了，没事的没事的，你怎么还是这样。。。。
意思是说，要日本放下二战包袱向被害国道歉不要被美国牵着鼻子走多为亚洲的经济与和平做考虑也不要为了美国的利益和亚洲其他国家对抗。
