I had a similar experience to you as a baseball player. I switch hit but at the end of one of my seasons I got hit in the head from a fastball that went right under the visor of my helmet and hit my head and the helmet about 50/50. After that I took a whole season the be confident hitting left handed and never got back all the way from the right side before I graduated.
Trading arguably the best user safety in the league and two firsts for a CB, which is a valuable position but you get relatively similar value from later players, is insane.

quick reminder to go Slot upgrades on your Cornerbacks. It is by far the best archetype to upgrade. I consistently get +2 overall to man on man archetype by upgrading Slot
TD you can get acrobat on high overall wide receivers and corners, so when Travis plays both ways it should activate
