Looks and sounds fantastic. I love hardcore serious Transformers movies but we are also entitled to a more lighthearted one, too. I’d also like to see a full-on serious version of the Cybertronian Wars.

There are trailers that have all the good parts of a film and their are those that are the tip of the iceberg. if this is the tip of the Iceberg this may not just win new/young first time Transformers, fans, but it could win some that know of the franchise and have never watched it.
I'm all for comedy but I hope this isn't a retcon. I don't want another villain "redemption", and these origin prequels always seem to want to make the bad guy a watered down version of themselves.
The humor is the point of this movie, it’s not supposed to be serious, judging by the art style this movie is directed more towards kids/early teens. If you are a grown man upset about this, it’s like being mad at SpongeBob being to light hearted and not serious enough….
Hmmm…the kids might love this, which is good. Too many franchises try to reboot as a love letter to nostalgic fans. The results are usually lukewarm reviews by old fans who can’t understand why their kids aren’t impressed…when it was clearly not made for them. For all the complaining about Marvel, DC proved that making everything dark and depressing guarantees nothing as far as a good story or box office numbers. Still, this feels like it used the same template as a Dreamworks movie about animals on some kind of adventure, and even the good ones can get tiresome. I’ll give it a chance and hope for a pleasant surprise.

The very first G1 episode had car/truck similarities during the Cybertron sequence.
The cybertron forms always had flying vehicles, and land vehicles
