I'm playing with Pico's and MMBasic. There is a simple IR path between those (Pico Cardputer), so I bought one. Other experiments might happen, but I get GPS and more real time clock boards in. I basically like clocks and those IPS displays are nice. Some more can be extrapolated and pile up, so I'm running around and putting it all together and code a lot. I discovered there is a path to RC as well and test a few things with that too.
I just ordered mine last week, finally! I'll be sure to cover it. For the time being, I think NEMO is working on it just fine. You can get it on M5Burner.
Why would one need this thing when all those tings are on a smart phone?🤔just asking not trying to be a smart ass. I see why people would want a flipper zero but not the use of this device?🤔
I bought it to continue learning ESP32 programming. It's as simple as that. For a tinkerer like me, this has a lot of interesting stuff built in. This can't really compete with a flipper on RFID, SubGHz, NFC or even IR replay attacks, but My own NEMO firmware and Koko's ESP32 Marauder both work on this and they do have some fun pranks and attacks built in. But for me, NEMO, and these M5Stack devices, are all about learning and getting some more software programming experience with microcontrollers and IoT platforms.
would it be possible to run the stock uiflow with nemo as an app or add on? might be a stupid question i cant find any information and do not have a device to check
Right now, you can't do that, but there may be a way to store programs to load into memory on SDCard which might let you easily "switch" various apps. I think someone did that on the M5Stack Core2.
This isnt a hacking device, its a programmable micro controller, its intended purpose is, whatever you want it to be, you dont need to agree to any eula or any regulations, your "phone" monitors and records every keystroke, i would love for them to try to take apart my entropy script lol.
The CardPuter has more processing power, more storage, an SD slot built in, a much larger battery and a keyboard while still being small enough for a pocket. It's the better hardware. It's just so new that nobody has built any interesting apps for it beyond the demo firmware.
What custom firmwares can it run?? Or Os what can i flash on it? Can i run python on it? Can its wifi go into monitor mode? Does it have that capabilities to run wifite or other python scripts as intended??
There are several options on the M5Burner app. There's a TV Remote from Volos Projects, NEMO, Someone got ESP32 Marauder working. The default firmware has a python shell but IDK what all it can do. I think CircuitPython might eventually get ported to it.
This was just announced about 5 weeks ago and it's only available direct from M5Stack (in China) right now. I have reason to believe that I'm one of the first few people in the USA with one, so there's not any aftermarket firmware for these just yet. My first order of business is trying to compile the factory open-source firmware (which I'm having trouble doing) and then decide how much of this neat little menu system they built is worth reusing. Then I'm probably going to focus on NEMO's successor with this hardware platform in mind. Once I'm comfortable making firmware for it, using the keyboard, SD card etc, I'll probably take a crack at porting Marauder to it.
I was pretty disappointed, but they had to burn 10 of the ESP32 pins just for the keyboard, and it seems like they are running the SD card slot and the display on completely different SPI buses. There aren't a lot of unused pins to be exposed.
Why do you want to run Circuitpython on M5 Controller? If you use the M5 Stack UIFlow Firmware, you can program in UIFlow or Python. But I am not sure if you can use all the circuit python libraries.
You can get it from M5Burner, but yeah I could do a quick walk-through. CircuitPython differs considerably from the UIFlow MicroPython implementation, and I see good use cases for both.

Damn it! Now I go down another rabbit hole 😢
We need to put a ban on naming things “S3” for a decade or two. + too.
I concur. Heavily overloaded name.
I love it! Thanks for the video.
Just bought one, thanks for the video!
I dont need it but you know
I know… now I own one
Yep, I need.
Such a beautiful device O_O
Can't wait for NEMO or Marauder to run on it🎉
получилось?

They do now!
So cool, want one
Awesome
They launched stickc plus2! Could you bring a video? 🇧🇷

flipper zero is 170 bucks, this is 30, that's enough reason for me lol

Big brother that's why, and if you don't understand that, then I suggest you learn about the nsa.
Is this compatible with lego on the back?
Its not the only grove connection on the other side you have port B also an grove poort

@noahaxon is possible to connect an a external wifi antenna? Thanks for all.
Sadly, not easily. :(
Can it play doom?
5 months later but yes it can! check the cardputer subreddit

@@snikrepak yep I did I got them as light controllers but can be built with BL602 without a display if you name your buttons correctly.

Is there a marauder version that would work on that. Since it has an Sd slot it would be able to do more attacks then the stick c plus

@NoahAxon that would be awesome for real! Subscribed and will buy the device!! I'm in love with M5Stack, they are so helpful in chat

My buddy Marivaldo got Marauder working on it already. I need to play with it some more.
Will it play doom and or galga
