Hi, great video with great humour. I have had my clutch replaced on my C1 a few weeks ago and it wasnt set up correctly. There was no free play in cable. Followed your video but loosened the cross nut, and got about 25 mm of free play and clutch is so much better and release bearing is now not in contact with plate. Thanks again

So when completed this method, I found it quite difficult moving the clutch arm back and was only able to tighten the thread so much.
It didn't screw all the way to the end and there still is some free play in the clutch peddle, but it has helped significantly. Should I try move leverage with the clutch arm and keep tightening so there is only a small amount of play?

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos

@@brewmyteabag1830 yes mate, on these cars the clutches are normally high with the biting point right at the top and can feel like they are worn out if you’re not used to them. Some people adjust them down to lower the bite, which can cause them to wear faster due to dragging slightly when in gear with the engine running and clutch depressed for example. Ideally it should be adjusted so there is a tiny bit of free play at the top, just enough to make sure the cable isn’t pulling on the clutch at all when the pedal isn’t pressed.
