  • Well after a short break of Organ Vids for some weeks I return here today at All Saints Church Oystermouth on my favorite organ!
I was asked recently by one of my followers here on youtube if I could re-make "Shine Jesus Shine" that video I had done a few years ago using my "Old Camera" and looking back I have had loads of "hits" and nice comments, so as you can see is the newer and updated version using the Sony HDR SR10E and Panasonic HX-DC1 (Pedal Cam) and placed the ZoomH2 in the Choir Stalls.
So lets begin!! Many thanks to you all my loyal followers and fans of my channel it's greatly appreciated leave your comments bellow and any newcomers that have found my channel for the first time pop along and say hello and hit the subscribe button.
If you have any requests let me know and Ile do my best to accommodate.
All Saints Church also has a website full of information on the life of the church please do have a look - www.oystermouthparish.com
    Many Thanks
    Rob

Yeh another organist who plays it with a bit extra. I had a big mayoral service i was playing for and this was one of the hymns. being the young 'fool'(i was called this after the service by the choirmaster) that i am i decided to shine it up abit. There were glissandos(which mad my hands red-its a tracker organ) and keychanges. It was the best service id played for. :-)
    as always Brilliant!

Alas, my current church doesn't have an organ, and this song wasn't written or in the hymnbook when I was a child and went to a church with one so this is the first time I heard it on an organ. Wonderful and surprising to hear a more contemporary song. Thank you for posting.

i like the ATTACK And SPEED and overall SOLID-ness!! but jus curious...and can some people please kindly educated me , if this is manner of playing is ACCEPTABLE on the pipe organ??
because i tot it was more suitable on eg the electone.......tqvm
but i still love this FAST and fighting spirited style of playing...dont get me wrong AMEN

Anythings possible on a pipe organ especially if you have an open minded church. We had the Dambusters March played for my grandma's funeral then I played Aces High, the Luftwaffe March for my grandads.

The rhythm is accurate and so the tune is singable. How about using part of the refrain as the intro starting from "flow river flow" as Kendrick's short bridge on its own is not really enough. Staccato pedals might make it sound slightly less heavy but a good rendition generally.
