In real life, though some customers enter the “Staff Only” room, expecting the employees to come out and help them.
Truth is stranger than fiction or in this case worse than fiction. These antics are really horrible when they are in big cities. Thankfully I’m glad to work at a smaller location in a small town.
Because they are either too lazy or too stupid to talk to the staff on the sales floor
maybe that will happen in later nights in the game
Can relate to this game as retail staff for many years here. Through, the only thing worse during the Pandemic freak-outs were people buying out alcohol wipes to the point of attempting to substitute baby wipes, compared to toilet paper sales people at Walmart ended up going full-down "Just give me them!!! You have to be hiding them in the back!", "These'll work anyway"", or (if I literally had just brought out new stock and they had a kid they needed it for) "Thank God for your kindness! I couldn't find these anywhere else!"
I always liked that last group the most because at least they weren't full mob-mentality on getting things.
If I was the protagonist, I would be nice to and appreciate the Pizza Man's kindness despite the hell I was being put through.
Pizza Man probably relates the most to the protagonist, also working and dealing with sh_tty customers.

You’d be surprised how much a single act of kindness can mean to someone, especially in a job like that.
Pizza Man would sure as hell be getting a tip. Pizza delivery is terrifying on a whole other level from retail, but if your nice to your delivery drivers, and consistantly tip them and have a conversation with them, they'll go out of their way to deliver faster.
As a customer service worker, I agree that we waste away at work. Customers are like zombies and everyday I’m sitting there having to force myself to smile and *not* fight them for raising their voice at me
Bruh, me too and some times they start blaming you for the shop not having what they are looking for
@@car4128 I’m so lucky my manager tells me if a customer keeps going that I can cuss them out because at that point it’s getting too much. Also she believes that with is the customer ISN’T always right
@@RabLuuathat's absurd. I'm not saying you're wrong but yeah if I cussed a customer out I'd be fired. Now my managers themselves most of the good ones have been assholes back to the customers for being Dicks. But my retail area is ghetto and they all know the corporate number to call. So my managers always say to just let them be the assholes. Their jobs are more secure than ours to do so
And this is why, even as tired and worn out as I am, I do my best to make other people smile. Wear a silly hat, open doors, you can be kind and polite without ever having to put on a fake smile and speak. I look for ways to do this, because we all need more reasons to smile at one another these days.
As someone who's worked in retail, this game is 💯 accurate. 😢

Oh trust me, this is accurate. If you work at franchise retail stores you may be (heavily) fined for things like:
Being late.
Opening/closing store late.
Opening/closing store early.
Taking out mobile phone at any point outside of staff room.
Smoking on premises.
Smoking (anywhere, even in your car or house) in uniform.
And the managers? Whoa boy, they turn into Naz! Prison Camp guards.
Retail is one of most soul sucking work possible.
I generally hope that there's going to be a true and good ending to the game where we play we break the cycle of rudeness exposed to evil corporations and exposed to evil managers running the show and our character finally can his bill and get a better job.
If I had a pizza hand delivered to me by a guy dancing in a pizza costume I'd be so happy
I thought he said this was supposed to be exaggerated. This seems like any other Friday sale start to me. If it were Black Friday there would probably be weapons in the hands of the customers.

A influencer that will probably do the dumbest stuff by sabotaging our work and probably pressure us when we're trying to help them .
I worked those kinds of jobs before. I'm honestly glad to be a security agent. Less stress and interactions.
the only unrealistic part of the game imo is that the staff only rooms are safe spots.
I felt unsafe on the floor, but I felt absolute dread in the staff room
What Nina has is called "Smiling Mask Syndrome." A very real thing.

i love this game so much and the story is so good
I guess I was really lucky. My old job was stocking shelves at a grocery store. (not saying which one)
And it was really mellow. Customers were very nice. I could start up a conversation with any of my coworkers when we worked. And it was a pretty easy job.
Then again. I did also have some chaotic days. They were just few and far between.

I am a retail worker and it is terrible. I have it because it got the hours to help with college but damn the customers are the worst sometimes. There was one time a customer that wanted to ask me something came up with their cart, jaming it into my side before asking about the item without making eye contact but practically leaving also right away. I could barely utter a single word. Also alot of people just don't talk to me, I don't want converstations but asking me to move or saying excuse me as you pass me by is better than nothing.

I think i get it this game takes place during 2020 during post “u know” I mean it explains why there’s not a lot of people in the store and also why people act the way they do due to self isolation not to mention why jimmy was running from the customers one of the reasons I think we all know the other reason and u could say that no one is wearing a mask well it could be near the end of “u know” or after a lot of people have got there vaccine so yea that’s my theory

That's strange... I just got through playing this updated game two days ago, and I didn't see Nina or the pizza man. The updated version of the game pretty much played out exactly like the old version, only with better textures, the improved Jimmy cutscene, the baby running around freely, and being able to go to the player's apartment after their shift was over, along with the other bug fixes. I had already purchased the game back when it first came out, so I was able to download the updated version for free instead of paying the money to buy the game again, but I don't know if that's the reason why Nina and the pizza guy aren't in the game when I play it. It seems weird to not include them, when all the other features of the updated version are still present.
You have to actually go and open the door to see the Pizza Delivery Guy.

This is an interesting game that I have seen so far
Ive worked retail for about 3 years now and i still dont see why people complain so much about it. Its really not that bad sure you get some bad customers but honestly theyre more funny than they are annoying and the works not too tedious so i dont mind it.

Ngl, if i was the protagonist, i straight up would've just not go back to the store and get another job. Assuming the bill isnt due for at least 3 weeks or so, i would've just go and worked at a fast food place since its probably going to pay the same or at least a little less money than being a stocker at a store. And it probably be easier to get hired at a fast food joint so i would have plenty of time to get money for the bill.
In fact, I would've asked the pizza guy if the pizzeria he works at is hiring. Because like I said, it's probably going to take little time to get hired, would pays the same as retail paychecks, and the managers and customers are, (hopefully), less like psychopaths.
