    I've been a subscriber since the beginning. I'm 80 years old with a history of antique house restoration (retired). Thus, the attraction. Another CZcams builder that I follow works alone for his projects much the same way as you. Lots of heavy steel, lams, plywood and rain, etc, etc. He uses, to his great benefit, a self erecting tower crane, which is something you might consider and which I wish I had thought of long ago. His channel is called 'Jake Rosenfeld' See part 7- 43.00; 45:35, 46:50 and Part 11- 57:45, 112:27, 113:15. Net result heavy lifting gone, time saved, saftey enhanced. Not a critique, just hoping to be helpful. Keep up the good work!

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast Před 6 měsíci +11

      Haha, we've been telling Dan to get some proper lifting capacity in for a year. A crane or goods hoist would be ideal.

    Another thing to wait up for, seeing those double attic doors in place. And that look back to the water tank was really good. It’s easy to forget the scale of the project and how much of a ruin the place was in the beginning and also how scared we watchers all were when you balanced high up on top of a heap of crumbling rubble without support, making us eagerly wait for next episode. Even when you thought there was nothing much to show but repetitive, slow progress.
    And yes, it’s very easy to become an addict… You sure manage to tick every box ;)

    Getting acquainted with the tools' capabilities and operation takes time, too. I agree with you that you need to take the opportunities when they present themselves to get acquainted as there are bound to be proprietary differences. And who can resist getting to use them! Also, I'm sure Axminster is happy to see those tools being shown in action! Everybody benefits! Great job-again! It's a great door and far more helpful than an osb door!

    Seeing the water tank clip makes one appreciate how much has been achieved already. Bravo. And while you don't say where you got your tools from - but I thought " Good old Axminster!". So that works, too. 🎉

    Great doors. If you ever put them up for auction they will be worth a lot more than a few days work.... first work to be done with the new tools etc. etc.
