Regarding Yamaha CL/QL, I create User Keys for each user. So each person can change the user defined parameters and not affect the other engineer(s). User Keys can be stored on a usb drive and loaded onto any console...

It's always a good idea to back up the console, with Dante patch, on your drive before you load your file, that way if you accidentally do load All or if the main drive buses aren't Recall Safe you can have a working restore point to come back to. Don't forget to save the scene that's loaded before you do the back up otherwise you won't have the current state of the console, you'll have the last saved state.

I should have clarified, this was more or less directed at situations where the console is heavily nested In a control room or part of a venue install - where things such as routing , networking / Dante are set, and things that are user to user settings are changed via scenes. Of course those systems are backed up, the hope is that someone can load their presets or scenes without wiping the desk. On rentals , sure do your thing. If hired to be on a production from the ground up, sure, do your thing.
