- In today's vlog we head to the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival media preview where we were able to sample some of the food menu items as well as get a sneak peek at some of the all new festival merch! The merch is really cute and is centered around Spike the bee and Minnie Mouse. Then we tasted a few food options in the EPCOT test kitchen! We couldn't show the area we were in for the event so we gave our thoughts about the food when we got home. I enjoyed the new menu items, they were delicious for the most part! The dragon at Japan was originally in China in years past. He got redone and “Japanized”. I personally helped with Ms Piggy and Kermit, Beauty and the Beast, Remy, and some other beds and topiaries not shown in this video.
That orange bird cups looks like the ones I used to collect from McDonalds back in the 90’s. Love it!

People who go to the flower and garden festival must try the boudain balls and sausage. As being an native Texan they are a staple in our life. All the food looked great. Can not wait to see Jackson’s reaction to all the topiaries. This is one festival I would want to go to. The flowers are beautiful.

We go in 3 weeks for our 1 year anniversary and wasn't planning on doing EPCOT cause of the construction but I LOVE flower and garden so after this preview we're definitely going!

BrewCityGillz I’m just as obsessed so I feel you and I’m eagerly awaiting opening day so I can get the spirit jersey and the sipper. I really want the ears too. I wish I knew what the spirit slicker was going to look like it’s the first I’ve heard of it.

I love that everything for Flower and Garden festival is either made fresh (like the oysters that will be grilled and handed to guests right when they finish cooking) or made from fresh garden ingredients (I saw a lot of vegetables). I think it really speaks to what a festival featuring flowers and garden related stuff is all about.

My favorite festival of the year at Epcot! So excited. My mom's a vegetarian and is going to love the plant based stroll, those veggies looked great! Can't wait to share with her!
The food looked crazy good - LOVE the plant based stroll idea. And the merch was incredible. Disney knocked it out of the park on this one!

Another fun vlog, thanks Trackers! For anyone curious, check EPCOT on google maps. It will show EPCOT as it was during the middle of the skyliner construction. You can see how much is happening by comparing Tim's report to what was there not so long ago.

Tim , You missed your chance to go down with the Ship at Disney World on the Jungle Cruise ... One of the Boats sank this afternoon at 12:30PM ... No one hurt and they had the ride back up and running in a hour and a half .

Chocolate chips in a praline is totally a thing and TOTALLY amazing! Look into chocolate pecan pie. 🤤🤤 life changing.

I usually have little to no interest in merchandise, but if I were attending Flower and Garden, I would spend a fortune. Amazing products!
The test kitchen is cool - we were in there for destination discovered tour
Good bit of Louisiana representation on the food, even though he said you can get boudin balls at a local gas station...yeah we don't do that so much, unless it's a mom and pop you trust. They are common though. The thought of crawfish boil smell at epcot makes me chuckle though.
Chocolate pecan pralines do in fact exist! River Street Sweets, which originated in Savannah, GA makes chocolate pralines and they are SO GOOD. And you can order them online if you don’t have a store near you!
Oh my goodness the topiaries finally have eyes! (I remember some did and some didn’t last year)
Sounds like the Louisiana food was a big hit! Boudin is a favorite here, you can even get it in convenience stores for breakfast lol. Pralines are basically boiled sugar and cream so chocolate chips would melt in there, but I bet you could dip them in chocolate. I have also heard of chocolate pralines but they are not traditional. Flower & Garden is my favorite time of year at Disney and I can’t wait to go this year! Thanks for the preview.

Hi Tim. Great video. I’m from New Orleans (New Aw’lins). If you put chocolate chips in a praline (praw-leen) it just becomes a chocolate praline. The temperature to get the sugar to melt and become right to harden again is so high that chocolate chips would just melt into liquid chocolate and mix in. The creaminess of the chocolate then messes up the sugar being able to harden again which is what the praline is all about. They do make chocolate pralines, but it is a chocolate extract that is used. The seafood boil looks interesting, but I have never know it to be in a beer boil. A must try. Can’t wait to visit and try all the great food.
