The Maven rangefinder is currently $450 not $400. 2 years later. Worth it considering they have a lifetime warranty including on their electronics unlike most other brands that are meant to be consumable disposable throw aways after their limited shirt term electronics warranty expires and all electronics will and do end up failing that's why you need a real lifetime warranty.
Pretty compelling video. Thanks, Ryan. A couple questions for when you have a minute. Have you noticed any setting or menu changing from the wheel moving while putting the rangefinder in and removing from the pouch? Or is there a lock on the wheel to prevent that?
I have not noticed the wheel moving. But all that would do is change the brightness setting, a quick fix. To get to the other setting you have to push on the menu button( in the middle of the wheel). I don't see this happening by accident.
I just received my rf1 yesterday and it has a blue tin that goes away and comes back depending on how I angle the rangefinder is that normal because I called Maven and they said it was

@@Rokslide Ok, great! Thanks, that's good to know.
Do you know if they have plans for a ballistic solver in their rangefinder?
Yes, next year.
How fast does the maven give a range?
Very quick, It's a little faster than my Leica 2800.com.

I asked the same question to another reviewer on CZcams and they said they didn't notice that in theirs was your rangefinder doing this?
