Timeflux - I am a video production teacher and want to say it is a treat to see a tutorial done with thought and care. Great job and thanks for sharing.

I’m in my early 20s I remember watching this video when it first came out, I have to say I really enjoy this video, and I come back almost yearly just to reminisce lol. Although I never made a stop motion video, ever time I watch it just inspires me to do one someday.

thats' a good question ) I'll ask on forums how it will be more suitable for people. Most of lego fans are 9-13 years old so I think that dubbing is better, but subtitling is easier for me ))) Thanks anyway for your permission - I'll make it suitable for russian audience within a week )

There are many free ones across the internet, such as SAM Animation, but you could use Windows Movie Maker (Vista version is the easiest). I use a paid one called iKit Movie, which is made for stop-motion and includes sounds and music.
good video to start, thanks!
@Hidanclub you can either use thin string or erase it in photo shop

A few questions ...
How do you keep the baseplate steady, and stop everything from jiggling around and looking terrible? Is it absolutely necesary to blu-tack it?
How can you regulate the frame rate? Do you have to make a guess of how many frames will fit into a second?
Where did you get all those legos? Sure, I know you can get legos from Amazon and other websites, but they're too specific, are there places you can get general sets?
Thx sooo werry much dude! I always wanna make a lego film but what program shall i use?
Great tutorial
love your tutorial. I am a teacher and think about using it in class for making movies and inspiring pupils to research on their own. may be their English gets a kickstart.
If you're using a webcam you could try something like qStopMotion or Anasazi. You could also use qStopmotion to process external images (i.e. from a digital camera). You then need a video editor to get it looking professional. You could try Wax though it's a bit hard to use. The software mentioned above is freeware.
hey these are the steps i take. thank you for reminding me
I am going to begin creating stopmotion videos, i just want to know how you make the legos float like when the lego pulls out the lego brick to show what they are.
nice tutorial bro!
