    Man with CKD stage 4, has recurrent kidney stones. Kidney biopsy shows positive birefringent. Has adesonine deaminase deficiency. Maltese cross on histopathology. Which of the following treatment is useful to prevent recurrent kidney stones?
    a. Xanthine oxidase inhibitor
    b. Uricosuric agent
    c. Urinary alkalinisation-first line Tx for uric acid stones , second line is a
    d. Thiazides
    This is recent question would the answer b a or c??

    Does urinary alkalisation agent/meds cause problem with orgasm? My doc gave me and after having this I can’t seem to orgasm at all

      Hullo! Oooo do you mean the precipitation into crystals? That is such a great question - I'm definitely no expert on gout - but as far as i can tell this is more of a precipitation issue rather than a pH issue (pH of joints more on the alkaline side) - so when uric acid in the blood is high and deposits in tissues - then the immune system wanders in there to get rid of it and inadvertently causes inflammation. Hope that helps! What are you studying towards at the moment? :)

      @@kristeenbarker I’m studying how to get rid of this bastard gout!!😂. Trying to get to the bottom of it, some are saying a less acidic urine can help dissolve the crystals, and help the kidneys excrete them better 🤷‍♂️. Hopefully one day soon ‘they’ll’ actually find out the real mechanism behind it all. I’ll keep testing in the meantime. Thanks for the reply

    I have 8mm kidney stone, my dr gave me disodium hydrogen citrate syrup and vitamin C tablet
