Charles, you got one heck of a deal on that vacuum bottle. We have never seen the brand on our side of the pond. Beautiful Bride found good deals on AquaFlask 40 ounce bottles for our older troops and a smaller flask from the same brand for our little guy. A handful of ice cubes keep water pleasantly cool all day. She also found wonderful padded canvas carry bags with shoulder straps for the larger flasks. A rubberized mesh surrounds the small flask and it has a braided handle plus carabiner for a rugged look. The little guy is only in school for half a day at his age. What I like about the carry bags on the larger flasks is the small pouch, similar to what was on GI canteen canvas covers. There is space for several sachets of powdered electrolyte and water purification tablets. All classrooms are air conditioned at the troops school but it is rather apparent that a large number of students DO NOT consume enough water. We have been experiencing a heat wave . Many students get diagnosed with UTI and other conditions often cause from a lack of drinking enough water. There are water sources scattered around the campus and we learned that the school has their on treatment plant to treat the public water supply. We are happy that our two older children are prepared to treat water in an emergency and to treat a fellow student or teacher that might develop heat related problems.

Nice! Thanks for sharing! It is always instructive to hear how things are in other country's and how you deal with it. I wish I could find a pouch with a small pocket on it like you describe for my bottle. I can see the utility.

Another great review. Love the reference to the “Forgotten Ruin” book series. As Talker would say “Coffee…..it doesn’t judge you”. I hope you continue on doing these great reviews. They are very informative.

I've got a painted one. It has what looks to be powder coating, with rough (but still nice to the touch) surface, so it isn't slippery.
Also, 12.99$?!. Where do you get such deals, where I'm from it costs 78.00$... xwx

My first 10-hour test resulted in 96.1° before closing the lid, and overnight (10 hours) it became 78.1°. In Fahrenheit: from 204.5° down to 172.6°. Cup was slightly warm to the touch, but not anyhow hot.

@volchonokilliR There is a discount store chain here in Michigan called Ollies Outlet. They buy overruns of name brand products and sell them at a discount. Over the years I have some sweet deals there.
