  • Leon Russell just completed a duet album with Sir Elton John which is going to be released October 19 on Decca Records. This is a new song he wrote they have been working on that will be part of their upcoming tour: We saw it at Knuckleheads before the tour on September 16, 2010. This first Elton John and Leon Russell single is already available on iTunes and Amazon.
I always wanted to see Leon Russell live, and for me tonight was a highlight of a lifetime. Thank you Leon Russell for your wonderful music and thank you Knuckleheads for making a dream come true. It was magic! Everyone in the section I was in gave me their email addresses. We were all friends who had never met. The night was incredible! Love was in the air, the pure, joyful essence of the chords striking our souls. Thank you Leon, you made me cry for joy tonight!
This is the first video of several I took tonight, I wish I were a better video maker, I am working on it. It was an incredible performance and I feel very fortunate to have been privy to the experience. We, the audience, loved him in a place where there was no space and time, and it seemed to spill over to the strangers around us, who weren't strangers by the end of the evening. What a magical evening it was!
My heart sang all the way home...
For the photogs: This video was shot using a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon L Series EF Lens (EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM), and a Rode Stereo VideoMic.
