Meanwhile, the newlymade King must look towards his borders to solidify his gains, as those around him continue to grow and expand. As Majesty grows... so shall the ambitions of House Cynder...
From a small isle in Slavers Bay, House Cynder shall claim the world. This is a CK2 Custom House Let's Play using the Recolonizable Valyria mod, with a focus on storytelling and worldbuilding.

There is actually an event where a merchant comes and sells you a dragon egg and it costs 800 gold. It is probably one of the rarest events in the mod. I looked at it in the event files and it can only happen while you have the "obtain dragon egg" ambition *and* are sitting on 800+ gold. Even then, its average time to fire is something like 75000 months lol. There are a few factors to it, like being Valyrian or located in Asshai, but even in the best of cases, you are far more likely to die before ever getting it.
If you do attack Meereen it should be based around the story he has backed out of the deal from the opening and is aiming to take the dragon for himself by sending assassins after Raeger.
I am liking the RP intro. Maybe add some low volume music in the background of the gameplay? Not that I don't enjoy your specific commentary; it'd just be an interesting addition!

I will tell you one thing. If you do this type of playthrough with storytelling on the new Dragons AGOT CK3 you will become a hit.
No one of the big CZcams content creators that have gotten early access were able to reach this level.

@1992zorro I'm certainly hoping to do a storytelling series on the Dragons when they release in CK3! Not sure what story I'm doing yet but I'm writing some stuff now and hoping to have it up and edited soon! (And my House Cynder series will continue as normal too!)
Don't know what to do in CK? Marry your daughter (sister). Moreover, you play for the Targaryens. And yes, burn all the neighbors that prevent the dragon from sleeping...

I feel a million would be a fair price given in universe's understanding of value, firstly the Mereen prince is taking a risk with a down payment with no true guarantee of the egg, or even the Valyrian Dragonlord that is your MC handing that egg over and is relying on your HONOR to hand it over. Furthermore, Eggs are hard to hatch in the best of conditions least of all in the hands of some rich slaver prince, and they have all the leverage as is anyways in this deal to begin with.
Way I see it from an outside perspective its a good deal, and a fair price, fairly bargained given the circumstances. In a more ideal situation an egg would be more worth 2 or 3 million in my mind, but no more then 4 due to again the issues of actually trying to hatch an egg making them a little more than an immensely rare bauble were at least Valyrian Steel has practical applications.
On the topic of Mereen I feel conquering them is not worthwhile at this time, better energy would be spent slave raiding to grow your slave population and to sell off some of said slaves for extra coin to fund your efforts to better build tall the last holdouts of Valyrian Glory.
Also when you seize all of someone's land and still have them in your dungeon its sometimes possible to banish them instead of ransom and steal ALL their gold in the process.
