    Your friends right. Gas eats at paint, your clear coat saved your paint. Ive used bad gas out of an older bike to strip the paint off the tank! Worked great.

    I don't like the rubber grommets that the headlight screws into my RK bezel, a few are always loose so I'm going to replace them with metal clips.
    Gonna have to GoFund me some spray bomb user-repellant satin black for the Fro-riders fairing...

    I put a Hogworkz Halo headlight on my SG and after 1 ride it almost fell out. I dont think they tighten the screws on the springs in the factory. Need to be tightened during install. Seems to me to happen with alot of headlights. Just my opinion, ride safe.

    Just caught this video, I was seriously thinking about putting an FXRT or FXRP fairing on my 18 Road King, what are your thoughts? Also New Paltz has some great riding up there. Just got back from NY/NJ and went from Mahwah NJ over to Greenwood Lake then over to the westside of NJ over to Hawks Nest up to Hancock NY. Was a great ride, Northern NJ and NY State is the most under rated riding. I love it up there. Thanks for a reply in advance about the fairing. Keep the shiny side up !!!!

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn
      @FXDLSBrooklyn  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks! RWD makes the fairing, and you'll need a 7 inch headlight for it. Check out Matt Laidlaw's channel, he has a bunch of videos on that particular setup on a 2020 LRS!

      Also wondering Is this fairing hinder lane splitting or is this just my illusion? I am currently rocking with memphis shades road warrior with 13 inches and so far no issues with visibility when splitting. It seems the fxrt fairing is wider than MS.

      One note, though, what was the issue with the headlight falling off from the bracket? Do I need to be concerned with fxrt fairing, or is it the installation issue? Appreciate your feedback

    Don't worry I pulled the pump out and clicked 93 yesterday and went to put it into the tank and it spilled out all over my fresh paint job without even pulling the lever to activate the gas flow.... I was fucking pissed. New paint job with just about 30days on the tank treated, wiped it off with my sweatshirt and napkins immediately. I was hours away from home, hopefully the paint is treated especially with 6 coats of clear coat ;)

    • @FXDLSBrooklyn
      @FXDLSBrooklyn  Před 4 lety +1

    • @URBANAMERICANTAC
      @URBANAMERICANTAC Před 3 lety +1

      It’s most likely the mounting bracket. The mounting brackets are specifically designed for the angle of the neck or the rake of the forks you could say. It looks like the bracket he has is meant for a slightly more raked out front end. That’s just about the only thing that could be causing that issue with it.
