Aaron LeBlanc Minnesota Fats was a trick shot artist long before Jason Shaw was even thought of. Shaw is a better trick shot artist than Fats ever was though. Hello. It's all been done before...
Shaw is no joke. I've always loved Efren, but some guys like Shaw make difficult shots under pressure and do them with a level of confidence and focus that even Earl Strickland gets worked up. He's in my top ten for sure!
Yeah, it was a few years ago. Earl mistakenly called the wrong ball (he called the two ball instead of the obvious ten ball he was aiming for). He did it earlier in the match and the ref correctly gave Shaw the foul. When he did it again, the ref chose to ignore Earl's mistake and let him play on....Shaw wasn't too happy with the decision to say the least. :)
I fuckin love Jayson Shaw dude like I'm tired of hearing Efren everywhere the new players are really revolutionising it everyone's saying Efren is this that humble funny but I guess that's why pool got boring arrogant? Nah I call it showmanship
I ran into jason at a bar in connecticut (if you can believe that) and got to see him shoot some pool with his buddy. Spoke to him for a few min - as you can imagine i was really surprised he was there. Really nice guy.
"listen, you done it once in the game and they gave me a foul. So why is it any fucking different? Any fucking different? I already got one foul in the game and you done it and done it again and they give it to you." Can't make out the last word but is "it's bad fucking _____"
chill life this was serious. If you haven’t yet, try and search the original straight pool match between them. I watched it a year ago and if I recall correctly, earl swindled a foul review vote in his favor and then pulled the same shit at the end of the match where he called the “2” and shot at the “10” instead. Something along those lines.
I remember when he was a steinway regular and he hadnt won amy major tournamemts yet but i remember th7nking this guy is gonna be the world n1. You should see him practicing, eberything going in 100 miles qn hour dead cemter of tje pocket
Jayson makes the game look ridiculously easy sometimes and is definitely one of the greatest players around. But, from what I´ve seen on here, he´s been struggling a bit with his game for a while and finding it hard to get any consistency, against the endless stream of younger players coming through (like a lot of the top players, Shane and Josh too). But he still needs to work on his safety game imo, in the same way that Ronnie did (with Ray Reardon?), to be winning tournaments again.
Shaw and Earl we're playing 14 1 straight pool. He thought Earl called a different ball then the one he made. I saw it live but when I watch the replay, even though it was very subtle, I'd have to agree with Earl. However Earl should have been more clear about the ball that he was pocketing. Cuz before Earl shot he went back and forth calling a few other shots. So Jason was confused about what ball Earl was trying to make. But I also don't blame Shah for his frustration.
