Anyone with a musical background can tell that this performance isn't totally live it's a mixture of pre-recorded live and an overpowering backing track. A lot of kpop stars use this technique because of all the hard choreographer and they still give an amazing performance just like Jesy did here.
As someone who's seen the entire live, I can tell that Jesy was clearly uncomfortable the moment Nicki started to trash talk Leigh. She did laugh but from what I saw, she laughed at the awkwardness of the situation. I think what all of us should agree is Jesy should drop the topic once little mix was dragged into the picture. It's quite silly to me if the only thing you capable to do was showing an uncomfortable face.

She's not lip syncing any of it, she sounds close to what she did on track. That just shows that on the track, there really weren't any effects added to her voice. You can hear the breathing and her lips match the words perfectly! I don't know what y'all are hearing but she's not lip syncing.

Watch Camila Cabello “My Oh My” at Jimmy Fallon, THAT’s how it’s done no shade, and I don’t even like Camila Cabello, she shut me up with that performance. She sings 100% live is pitch perfect and hits every dance move with effortless charisma and stage presence. It CAN be done. Saying that is zero shade to Jesy because she’s very capable herself and has a background performing live for a decade. The vocal in this song is a walk in the park and the choreo isn’t taxing so i’m genuinely confused why so much of it was lipped and she was the bits that weren’t lipped had breath issues. Opportunity missed bc this was her chance to quiet the critics by showing off her voice and delivering a faultless performance that showed she has the fundamentals to be a necessary pop star in the 2020’s. This wasn’t quite that.
Is she lip syncing? Singers usually always wear ear pieces in their ears to ear themselves and it doesn’t seem like she had one in, even when she goes and sits down she doesn’t take anything out! Okay, I like Jesy, she has a sweet personality and she’s beautiful. In my opinion as an armchair critic though, sack the A&R, if you are launching a solo career you have to start it with something completely different to the records you have made with your previous band and it helps to write something heartfelt and honest and experimental, think ‘John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band’, she has been through some sh*t I want to hear about that, I love boys too but it’s been done one too many times and the ‘Bad Boy for Life’ sample isn’t original enough. No hate.
I do get the appeal of starting with something easy and familiar though. You don't want to come out with something too different straight out the gate, or else you'll alienate your whole fanbase.
I think she needed to take out a page from Janet because Janet said her label wanted a big dance number to say I'm back I'm here but she came out with that's the way love goes. It’s usually because someone acts like an idiot when they break up. Some things cannot be remedied-like the Gallagher brothers. In order for oasis to get back together, the pope would need to lay hands on both of them because they were and still are awful to each other. I think it's typically because things didn't end on as good of terms as people wanted. However LM mention Jesy a fair amount in passing. Okay, I like Jesy, she has a sweet personality and she’s beautiful. In my opinion as an armchair critic though, sack the A&R, if you are launching a solo career you have to start it with something completely different to the records you have made with your previous band and it helps to write something heartfelt and honest and experimental, think ‘John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band’, she has been through some sh*t I want to hear about that, I love boys too but it’s been done one too many times and the ‘Bad Boy for Life’ sample isn’t original enough. No hate.
I do get the appeal of starting with something easy and familiar though. You don't want to come out with something too different straight out the gate, or else you'll alienate your whole fanbase.
I think she needed to take out a page from Janet because Janet said her label wanted a big dance number to say I'm back I'm here but she came out with that's the way love goes. Jesy tried to come out with something big and flashy where fans doesn't get to listen to here and her voice and range. I think most of the song is pre-recorded. She is singing in the chorus I can hear it clearly but she sound slightly airy. That's why I know that the rest of the song is lip-sync. Whey she was in the Little Mix she was the same. You can hear when she is singing live.

Someone needs to put Jesy, Perrie, Liegh-anne & Jade into a room and lock the door until they sort things out. Regardless of all the controversy, they worked together for nearly 10 years, and were best friends for the same amount of time. Personally, I'm just sick of bands, once one member has left acting like they never knew one another. Come on.
It’s usually because someone acts like an idiot when they break up. Some things cannot be remedied-like the Gallagher brothers. In order for oasis to get back together, the pope would need to lay hands on both of them because they were and still are awful to each other. Thing is, for reconciliation to happen people have to acknowledge where they were wrong, Jesy is not in a space to do so as any kind of critique is deemed hate or bullying (her stans do this well). Maybe in a decade when they do a reunion like all the groups do, they might.
I think it's typically because things didn't end on as good of terms as people wanted. However LM mention Jesy a fair amount in passing. They thanked her in their brits speech, they mention her in stories of their past. Even after the blackfishing stuff.
It did appear that the girls cut off communication with Jesy after the split.
If this is regarding supporting eachothers music, that's contracts and labels and managers that would be the issue. Jesy signed to Warner instead of staying with Sony.

Maybe someone can explain this to me because I don’t understand the mindset of people like Jesy who say they’re insecure and have panic attacks before getting on stage being afraid of people judging them and stuff but then proceed to put themselves in the center of attention and acting all tough and presenting themselves very sexually (e.g. in the Music video).
