  • 'Spotlight on Zimbabwe' examines the chaotic opposition after CCC leader Nelson Chamisa quit. Chamisa went from seeking divine intervention for his party’s victory during the 2023 elections to announcing a new divine-backed entity just six months later. He said the Holy Spirit was his advisor.
Chamisa's moves raise questions about the state of leadership in the country. Is Zimbabwe’s problem weak leadership from both government and opposition? Journalist Violet Gonda presents: ‘Chamisa says CCC you later’

Your analysis is on point Violet, just imagine where in this world did we hear a leader who abandoned his party citing infiltration. Politics has always been like that even in the first world countries. Opposition parties also infiltrate ruling parties and governments. Is Chamisa telling Zimbabweans that if happens again with his yet to be formalised Blue movement, he will abandon it once again. I think he is hoodwinking citizens by only one attribute among many others that a leader could have. Nelson has charisma, but he doesn’t have wit and the ability to lead a behemoth entity.

Chamisa Nelson did everything he could do, what can you do to captured judiciary system. Chamisa Nelson won the election, but it was rigged. We will continue to move forward with Chamisa Nelson. He did his best, 💯

@@user-ri9ub6cu4nDid you read to understand or just to respond? It is for the second time that he exhibited the inability to handle internal democracy. He failed to handle the MDC Alliance intra squabbling, and today the same thing happened with CCC ideological differences. Yes you could move with Chamisa to nowhere as it is clear that infiltration is part of the political game.

Great analysis and review of the current state of opposition politics. However you may soon be attacked by fanatic opposition supporters who do not like critical review of their messianic leader. We need total change and assistance from the international community to get rid of incumbent.

Your analysis is wrong and you need to clarify politics in Zimbabwe the reason why Nelson left CCC not abandoned.

Unfortunately the only thing toxic about her analysis is Chamisa himself. To the point where you have nothing to say about the content.
